for me 87 grams is absolute minimum, so do not like light rackets, featherweight 55 is extremely light racket with very heavy head, I personally did not like that combination (I tried maxbolt nazer 19 65g and 350mm balance point) since its extreme head heaviness makes it really sluggish and all advantages of light weight (speed) disappears, unless you would hold it somewhere in the middle, and since it is very light it is truly difficult to control shuttle and generate power especially from longer distances, but may be it is only for me
http://sportshorizon.com/ is the cheapest place I've found. Quick delivery as well, from the few times I've bought from them. AVP is my go to racket at the moment.
Yes if You would like to buy online then sporthotizon.com or Nikman Sports on Facebook could even offer better price I think, but you would have to order just by chat
nice they seem to have latest and greatest stuff, anyone tried Blend Pro Power plus ? I have Blend Pro II, and it is one of the greatest rackets I tried. But it is quite old model and 72 holes, would be very interesting how S or Power plus with 76 holes feels/plays.
Seems like sportshorizon is cheaper. Im about to buy one but im wondering if there are "newer" models that plays like an AVP or the AVP was never followed by something close to it?
I think the newest with aero dynamic frame is slayer 88 III - and it is not stiff, so it should be very close to AVP, and judging from pics it seems to be even more air cutting than AVP and it is 76 holes as opposed to 72 on AVP
Says on the website its head heavy. Is it the same balance as AVP? A little bit more expensive too. Theres a deal for 2x AVP for around 130USD(including shipping, string, grip), worth it or not?
It is up to You I would go for the newer stuff: http://sportshorizon.com/products/badminton-rackets/apacs/apacs-slayer-88-iii.html 290mm bp so it is just slightly head heavy, AVP bp is even further towards the head
I got a Slayer 88II for a friend 2 years ago and it was a crappy racket to play. The new Slayer 88 III does not show any continuation from its predecessor, it is a complete overhaul from version II, frame type, weight balance and stiffness are changed, it is a completely different animal, I would not call that a version III.
From where you get the info of the shaft of T200 II is 30T? high end Apacs rackets have always been 40/50T shaft with 30T frame. Official spec from APACS Canada. https://www.apacscanada.com/tantrum-300-ii-p-233.html.
