Maybe the problem isn't really with the players as much as with the coaches. They should try different approaches. Obviously their coaching methods are limited due to the narrow minded and outdated style up to a few years ago who apparently relied on solidarity. How LD managed to pull away from the CHN team's grasp years ago without any visible damage was surprising.

The same problem is faced by the Indonesians teams with their younger players now except for Marcus/Kevin who is doing fairly well.

Sindhu making it extremely difficult for Chen. All the drop shots she is playing is extremely good. Chen fell to the floor to retrieve it.

Chen/Jia's loss must be worrisome for the CHN coaches in view of the Uber Cup.

Chinese women's doubles losing to Indonesian would have been unthinkable just a few years ago.

I know this may sound discriminating. But why can't many CHN or INA female players present themselves in a more.. um.. er.. (struggling to find the right word) .. not too male-ish way? I know that looks doesn't matter and skirts are just inappropriate considering they have to dive a lot but come on... sometimes it is really hard to tell.

you should feel fortunate that male players do not currently present themselves in a female-ish way.

Of all the results of today, Saina beating GFJ was the only one I'd have bet on. Gao did not play well at all yesterday, it's just that NO was even more atrocious.
