    France also Canada as well create breakthrough here to perform beyond expectation, progress into quarterfinal in Thomas and Uber Cup.

    Thomas Cup group stage last match saw Indonesia battled hard to down Korea, 3-2. Anthony Ginting couldn't keep the momentum, lost narrowly to Son Wan Ho with identical scoreline, 20-22 / 20-22. Indonesia gained two points from their aces, Gideon/Sukamuljo and Ahsan/Setiawan. The unfit Jonatan Christie couldn't do too much against Heo Kwang Hee. Korea doesn't have strong ammunition in their third singles, Firman Abdul Kholik assured group B winner after knocked out the unheralded Ha Young Woong despite made big blunder in opening game when Kholik wasted 6 game point and losing 20-22.

    Another thrilling clash was served by DEN-MAS, Malaysian iconic star Lee Chong Wei outclassed Viktor Axelsen in opening game then reigning world champion pushed Lee into the limit despite losing 19-21. Conrad/Kolding level the scoreline 1-1 after eliminate Rio OG silver medalists Goh VS/Tan WK in rubber games. Then promising junior Lee Zii Jia brought back leading for MAS team, def. Hans Kristian Vittinghus 21-18 / 21-18. The scratch-pair Boe/Christiansen made 2-2 also in marathon match, last tie Jan O Jorgensen secures group winner to overcome Iskandar Zulkarnain, 19-21 / 21-17 / 21-14.

    Thailand Uber team occupies group B top position after experiencing tough encounter against Chinese Taipei who's spearheaded by two-time All England champion Tai Tzu Ying. The world number one powered past home favourite Ratchanok Intanon then host squad bounced back to grab next three ties, thanks to their well-developed women's doubles pairs. The resurgent Nitchaon Jindapon delivers another winning point, defeated Pai Yu Po in three sets.

    Looking at Thomas Cup knock-out stage draw, top-seed China will take on tricky opponent Chinese Taipei, the first three matches would be interesting to follow, Chou Tien Chen, Lee Yang/Lee Jhe Huei, Wang Tzu Wei certainly are no pushovers and will trouble nine-time winner China. Indonesia also has difficult test to face Lee Chong Wei and co., maybe the second singles would be the key factor to determine who will advance into semifinal. On bottom-half of draw, it's easier to predict, Japan gets the weakest opponent France team while title-holder Denmark who has more balanced squad is favoured to down darkhorse Korea.

    Uber Cup quarterfinals present the front-runners Japan, China and Korea are drawn against TPE, DEN, CAN respectively. These three East Asia nations have high possibility to prevail into final four, hardly to see they would be ousted at this round by weaker rival.. INA versus THA is the most interesting last eight showdown, both teams have equal chance to progress, most likely the overall result will be decided on last match.

    QUARTERFINAL ORDER OF PLAY (09.00am / 02.00pm / 07.00pm) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...57097B-20D5-4CF4-8E22-7138EE7565DC&d=20180524

    SESSION 1
    - UBER Cup : DEN v CHN (court 1) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...057097B-20D5-4CF4-8E22-7138EE7565DC&match=150

    WD2, Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt/Rikke Soby v Huang Dongping/Zheng Yu
    *China still fields same line-up for singles duty and rests He Bingjiao. Gao GJ and Li XR suffered big blow yesterday against Indonesian youngsters, this should be another test for them before facing tougher foe in next round.

    I don't think so, see MAS's MD seems not on par as both lost to DEN pairs...

    Yeah but I think MAS will win purely on MS. Any MD win will be a bonus.

    Mia Blichfeldt just took G1 against CYF. If DEN can blitz CHN by taking the first 2 WS (since WS2 is before WD1), this tie will take on a totally different complexion. It will put some pressure on CHN's WD World Champs. And DEN B team (well not really B team but w/o Pedersen/Juhl) may just win against this shaky CHN team.

    what MS? only LCW has chance, 3 + 1 indonesian young guns have advantages (2 times win BAC, and finalist thomas cup 2016)

    Do you honestly think Blichfeldt is going to beat CYF? In three? Never...

    China MD Thomas team look like SuperFavourite but if they were to meet INA team. Look at HeadtoHead, Its unusual that it happens to all the players like it meant to be.

    ChenLong vs Ginting : (Including last 2 defeats in 1 week)
    LiuZhang vs Minions :
    SYQ vs Jo :

    so Who is the favourite?
    Well, unless they sacrifice CL. Its time for Chinese to put one over their respective opponents.

    Its funny sometimes what it looks like is not what it is.

    CYF took G2. So it's 1 game each for both CHN and DEN

    Told you the Chinese WS is inconsistent. They are just getting scalped left and right.

    and if Den were to go down, why dont give the best?

    15-5 now. Only a serious blunder to Mia will turn this around.

    CYF is either hitting the shuttle to the net or too wide. Doesn't look good..
