I think this went much better and exciting than yesterday's Final. Though many are sad not to see LD in action.

    Unfortunately, Momota is not MS2.

Yeah, I love the team events. Every tie is like a story; it doesn't end after just one match, and the atmosphere is great. Some players thrive on it, and others feel the pressure. It's always really interesting.

I'm glad newer players got the winning point. LD has had plenty of glory!

It seems that overall 3-1 prediction is correct!

I am impressed with SYQ's ability to soak up the pressure and made the change of fate for CHN's camp. Him providing the 2nd point was critical in making Li/Liu's pressure lessen a bit. Man, MD2 was a match of excitement.

Although the end was a bit disappointing (for JPN fan), it provides a huge moment for Li/Liu and the entire CHN team, especially after
their falls in the recent campaigns. And last but not least, I am disappointed by the fact that LD didn't get to play. Watching the old Maestro
playing with heavy expectation and fire would be a good moment.

Congrats team China! Don't be disappointed team JPN, you did the best
you could especially Momota. Unfortunate for them to lose MD2, but that is life.

Yeah I am between glad that he was spared but sad that he couldn't contribute any point this time. But good for CHN team.
LD and ZN have always been reliable in team events. Lucky for CHN to have them.

I can fully empathise with all those who wish to see Lin Dan play that deciding tiebreaking MS3 and winning it in style in probably his last appearance at the Thomas Cup.

Personally,I believe Lin Dan can deliver the glory if called upon by the match situation as he has repeatedly expressed his greatest wish to capture his 20th World Championship accolade and then some. I trust it's within his grasp in view of his tremendous willpower and grit determination and defying the ravages of age.

Who knows, by the time he finally hangs up his racquet for good two years later after the Tokyo Olympics 2020, assuming he gets to go, he might have garnered 21 or 22 World Championships. If anyone can do it, he can.

You know what, it just came to my mind. Funny how your life could be being born in different places.
Had LD was born in Malaysia and LCW was born in China, would they be what they are right now?

Even Morten Frost is giving Shi Yuqi the most credit for CHN Thomas Cup victory

Indeed, when his name is called, testament to his immense popularity the world over; Chen Long's name only evoked some applause.

Yupe he deserved it. But had Liu/Zhang lost the MD1, I am not sure he could perform as well as he did. I'd say CHN was lucky that Liu/Zhang's rank was higher than Li/Liu for the past few weeks.
