The two JPN ladies are good attackers at the back and they are avoiding engaging Chen QC at the front, preferring to defend Jia YF's smashes at the back which they are more confident of repelling.
i somewhat agree with you ..... however today i very much looking foward watching KamSon vs Yutendo... gonna be fun
The JPN are playing a lot to the back and attacking at every opportunity and it's going well for them. Time for the CHN pair to come out with a different strategy and tactics in G2, or it'll be game over soon.
does the camera-person ever see their work live or get debriefed thereafter? when trying to show the last point played, the camera swings L-R, fore/back. it makes viewing difficult. it practically useless.
Yes, sort of feeling the same thing too. But Markus/Kevin, Boe/Mog and Li/Liu are not in form. Too bad Liu/Zhang had lost too. Hopefully they would do better next week. Both JPN pairs have been consistent throughout the tournament, let's hope for an exciting one later.
The JPN WD pair can defend smashes better than the CHN, so too the INA and KOR WD (I suspect they train with the guys who keep pounding them with a barrage of hard smashes).
TakaMatsu decimating WC Chen/Jia who looked terribly out of sorts today, esp Jia Yifan. Proving they are still very capable of beating these youngsters.
The JPN TakaMatsu play like MD, fast and furious attacking badminton, instead of trying to outwit their CHN opponents with placement shots and biding their time to attack. The strategy works very well this time, Chen QC , esp , was rendered ineffective, hardly tested at the front court area.
