HBJ just doesn't have the fitness and stamina to put up the kind of fight I expect from her in the back-to-back tourney. Just look at TTY, almost as fresh as if she's playing one tournament only.
Tai Tzu ying is making so many unforced errors because of her deception. but still managing to finish the match in two games. He bingjiao , still not ready to challenge the top to win a title.
I think we've seen much more convincing challenges to TTY's crown this year, heck, last week, than these 30 minutes of gung-ho. This wasn't even remotely close. At no point in the entire match, HBJ was even level with TTY, let alone in the lead.
The five super technicians according to Steen Pedersen are Nozomi Okuhara, Aken Yamaguchi, Tai Tzu Ying, Intanon Ratchanok, and He Bingjiao, not in any order.
The rest of the lady players seems to lost steam. They are very tired. Could it be too many tournaments and age catching up. haha
Haha... You should have seen the CYF vs SJH match ... now that was so boring with clears, drops, and lifts... Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk
We Are talking abouy a player compared to TTY. And if there is a player who has the closest skill or deception to TTY. It would be RI. Not others. HBJ is still not yet there. Today even in the first game, when HBJ still has the stamina. She is outplayed by TTY.
It's obviously HBJ's fitness issue that's holding her back, even Steen is talking about the need for her to improve her physique by at least 5 - 10 % (I'd say more) and she's still improving her technique which makes it scary (Steen's words, not mine). I repeat, very few players could bamboozle or outrally TTY the way HBJ did a couple of times in this match ,which also had the two commentators gushing over it. By the way, coaches look beyond just the results, the scores alone don't tell you everything, and that's where a good coach knows what's needed to be done for his charges. It's alright, we can agree to disagree. Let time tell.
HBJ still have the stamina in G1? Are you sure ? In the semifinal of a back-to-back tournament when IR herself is showing signs of fatigue to SJH yesterday, not to mention her match with HBJ last week?
Actually, in HBJ's current state of fitness level, I'd say her results these two weeks have been very encouraging, it proves she has what it takes to deal with all the best players in the world. There's still room for improvement in HBJ overall, esp fitness and refinement of techniques. She's far from reaching her peak. We'll see. Frankly, I'm more excited by HBJ than CYF, apparently.
I thought the service judge is supposed to sit up and closer to the parallax device whenever the player serves, and not sit back and relax ?
