I think LCW or SonWanho for that matter knows that if they play hard, they will somehow gets injured , but they still rather choose Malaysia/Indonesia Open. Lee could have opted out of IO. There have been a lot of withdrawals due to injuries or illness in non World Tour tournaments. And that's because some players will get fined for skipping the Super 750 and Super 1000 so by doing so they barely had the time to take a well timed rest or treatment for their injuries or well being. What did BWF expect when they made the schedule for this year.

Nah, I don't you can fault him for trying to get fit. He called it quits against Momota after the first game in Malaysia but apparently thought he was fit enough to play in Indonesia. Turns out he wasn't, but it is apparently not an injury so severe that he knew beforehand that he wasn't going to make it.
