BAM statement that LCW is sick with respiratory ailment and will be unable to attend practice for 1 month. Hence he'll miss the next 2 major tournaments.

BAM understands the concern surrounding the absence of Datuk Lee Chong Wei at the Akademi Badminton Malaysia (ABM) this past week.

We regret to announce that Datuk Lee has informed BAM that he is unwell and suffering from a respiratory related disorder. His doctor has advised him to rest and undergo treatment. For the time being, he cannot undergo any intensive physical activity for a period of at least one month and therefore we have to withdraw Datuk Lee from his participation at the BWF World Championships 2018 scheduled from 30 July to 5 August and the Asian Games 2018 scheduled from 19 to 28 August.

During this period of recovery, we ask the public and the media to respect the privacy of Datuk Lee and his family. We pray for his speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming him back at the ABM.

The tone of Misbun Sidek in the recent interview is very disturbing,

What is Chong Wei concealing?

Why would you abruptly stop coming to the training center all of a sudden?

 

Also BAM's latest statement is giving way too much emphasis on Privacy and hasn't shed light on any detail.

 

Wasn't he one that said they all know about him doping and so on, when he was suspended?

 

I doubt he was the one. That was another person.

@visor may shed some light on that figure upon asking.

 

Something I dislike even more than self-promotion on here is self-promoting bad content :S

Looked it up. It was Razif Sidek who got sued by Lee Chong Wei because he openly said that he‘s been using banned substances for a long time.

 

Well, that's really opening yourself up for lawsuits....jeez. I mean, in that particular case I can easily imagine both him saying the truth and also him trying to get one last shot at headlines. Really don't have a very nice impression of the Sideks so far, I got to admit

 

How many Sidek Brothers are there?
