Exactly there are players like Peter Gades who have never won an Olympic medal and no Gold at World Championships however they are considered legends..

the reason for peter is cause of his consistent finishes at the podiums of WC and Tittles.

So IMO winning a medal and finishing at podiums for as long as possible is what you need to become a legend and a legend for me personally is not just a GOLD medalist but a consistent podium finisher who leaves an impression in peoples mind and stays in peoples memories forever.

That's partly because they were overshadowed by LYD and others. It was obvious whom the Korean team had been favoring at the time. They were the leftovers of LYD/YYS pair to begin with.

Let's say numerous silver medalists LCW and a few gold medalists CL. Which one would people remember more?

I certainly remember LCW more than who's his name 2000 Sydney Olympics MS champion? I cant even remember his name. Is it Xi JinPing?

If CTC is not too fazed by the INA crowd as he wasn't yesterday against Ginting, I think he has the edge over Jonatan who is under pressure to deliver now that ASG is out.

I'd expected the MS gold medal match to be the last one, esp when CTC finished his after JC's , to give them a bit more rest.

Thata my point..lol I believe a player who remains at podiums the longest time becomes a legend and for me a legend is someone who people remember always and the Player winnin tittles,Majors Golds,Silvers,Bronze again n again n again are the ones who even some folks might not admit but they ultimately are remembered cause just of their presence for so long.

thats the reason LCW is so damn popular for all his silver achievements.

No doubt JC is fueled by the Istora, most likely will be able to show 110 percent of his abilities today. It's up to CTC, the veteran of TPE, to handle the pressure and turn it around.
