Sounds like a good strategy, theoretically. But I doubt RI could have beaten TTY in the individual event.

Man I thought CTC was bad with handling nerves. PVS is much worse in this match against TTY.

Life is unfair. Jojo won Gold in Asian Games whereas LCW never win it (and WC and Olympics). As a fan, I will choose Asian Games Gold over World Championship or any other tournaments other than Olympics. I don't mind if Indonesia win nothing in World Championship or BWF Tour if it can be exchanged with Gold in Asian Games or Olympics.

Whats there to strategise about ? Btw I dont think RI could have had any chance against TTY...RI when couldnt win against SN how dumb is it to expect than player to win against TTY ?

May be your just a fan of hers she is actually no where in the top league

PVS at least has her 5 Major Silvers which are better than 1 WC Gold of RI.

Always a 50/50 when TTY and Intanon are playing against each other. But SN and Sindhu? Zero chance of beating TTY as what we are seeing right now.

I get what you mean. Just feel that judging from RI and TTY's forms in the individual event, I think it would be hard for RI to beat TTY in SF. But we will never know:)

No celebration from Tai Tzu Ying. I am curious what can make Tai Tzu Ying and Akane Yamaguchi showing their happiness.

The cool Tai Tzu Ying wins over Pudarla V. Sindhu, 21-13 / 21-16 thanks to her masterclass technical skill that needs precision and accuracy. Sindhu couldn't crack Tai game plan and it's difficult to guess her opponent disguising shots. World number one changes her medal colour successfully from bronze to gold, congrats! Next major target for Tai TY should be World Championships 2019 in Basel.

    WOMEN'S SINGLES Medalists
Gold - Tai Tzu Ying (TPE)
Silver - Pusarla V. Sindhu (IND)
Bronze - Saina Nehwal (IND) ; Akane Yamaguchi (JPN)
