I have done heaps of stencil art on racket over the past 2 years and here I am sharing some of the better ones.
Has anyone tried the stringers world ink? I assume it's just the same as regular ink, but with more colour choices and slightly cheaper
A generic warning: I've bought some cheaper ink from a tennis shop near my place. It sucked monkey balls. The ink is so liquid is doesn't stick and almost runs off, having to let it dry and apply a second coat to make it look good. Now, the stringers world ink may be better, I haven't tried it, but just keep this in mind when buying stencil ink.
I have tried babolat ink and I didn't like it at all... Wasn't dry even after a week, had this kind of sticky feeling to it. The worst is other people had their strings stained by transferring through the shuttle... They were not happy about that...
He did it reversed once. I was wondering how he got yellow ink on red strings. But it was yellow strings and a lot of red ink.
Another for the collection, done on 64tx so will give the string a bit of a review when I’ve had a few hits with it
I know usually ink shouldn't affect playing on the strings buts it's usually over a smaller area. Would it affect its play over so much of it you think?
Did it again... Just to make a better picture. Next... I had doubts it would show up on strings.... I wanted to do it on the next orange strings, but I really wanted to see if it comes out... Not great, but better than I expected.
Well, yes, but since I also do stencils of real faces with varying amount of details (and in different sizes), I'm kinda used to it. Still, my hand did hurt a little afterwards. I'm still thinking about getting a plotter or asking some place with a laser cutter what they'd want to have, at least for the more annoying stencils. But would it be the same? Actually, I don't mind the cutting for those paper stencils too much, but sometimes I wish, I could cut thin sheets of plastic or a thicker, not too flexible foil. Any advice on that? I normally first create a vector graphic anyway, so plotting/lasercutting the stencils would be a lot less work.... but are there any affordable AND SMALL plotters that can not only cut 0.3 mm without any issue? Even when they say they can (some brother plotters, iirc), they seem to struggle with it and can only really cut more than one third of a mm when it's paper. By the way, this means that for all the stencils I post, I should have a .pdf file if anybody is interested.
