Part 1: Thruster BXR, rebirth of the Onigiri So before the Thruster 烎 (TK-烎) even sees the light (pun intended ) Enter Thruster BXR! matte black - what a stunner Announced alongside is a new colour Thruster K Onigiri and... embroidery designed badminton shoes? they're never going to stop releasing new designs for the P9200 are they hahah
Wow, it seems as if they had finally hired proper designers again. And if I counted correctly, it's a 76 hole pattern, isn't it? And quite intersting to see that they also keep the Onigiri alive.
Part 2: Goh V Shem's black racquet and Tai Tzu-Ying's real TKF? credits to badmintoncn First up, AuraSpeed 80X and 90S 80X: Control 90S: Speed Hypernano X6SP and X7SP grommet strips to prevent sinking? Finally, the one you're probably here for: Thruster F C 72 hole compact head TTY's real TKF?
Did they provide more information on specs of that TK-FC? One has to wonder if it's not just a remake of the TK7000SN since that one has disappeard from the Victor website a couple of weeks ago. Bad thing is that if TTY starts using a racket painted as TK-FC, there will be almost no chance to tell it apart from a TK7000SN.
Glad they stick to the elegantly slick theme for the Thruster series Yup, 76 hole - 'medium racquet head'. Probably similar in size to Jetspeed 12. Very good point. Isn't it just the TKF that has the Aero, Oval, Box frame profile? If this gets carried over to the TK-FC, that could be one way to differentiate it with the TK7000SN. But yes, it would be very difficult to know what TTY is actually using. Maybe the C stands for compact? Unfortunately, this is all I've got right now... will definitely keep you posted once more info comes out! P9200. The ones endorsed by Tai Tzu-Ying
Would be a smart move to do a mashup of a TK7000SN with an added pinch of TK-F. At first, it could create a quite intersting racket (one of the reasons I didn't seriously look at the TK-F was that huge head...), on the other hand, there would be an elegant way to stop TTY from using that ridiculously obvious repaint. Very curious about the TK-FC specs.
Haha just being sarcastic. Victor releases products like tragic episodes of constipation. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
Part 3: Thruster K Falcon Claw So the paint job is actually identical... no doubt TTY will endorse the TK-FC Victor marketing: hey look, everyone already knows TTY doesn't actually use the TKF, let's just release a racquet that looks identical to the one she actually uses, market it as the TKF's sibling and call it a day. Oh we'll give the TK9000 a new colour too while we're at it Handle diagram of the wood+carbon amalgamation they've put together for the Thruster BXR More pics of the new design P9200 Bonus pics of Victor's newest wide U-shape shoes:
Bloody hell, it will become incredibly hard to tell if TTY will be using the FC or still the TK7000SN. My money's on the TK-FC being a TK7000SN with a Pyrofil shaft upgrade, meaning that there is a realistic chance for TTY actually using it. Well done Victor, good move! And it seems to become a trend to integrate carbon in the handles. Mizuno is also going the and way with their upcoming new releases. Interesting. I wonder when those real-one-piece rackets will have their comeback.
Wait... Which one is which? Is it my imagination that the right one is FC and has a much bigger head... Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk
That TK9000 isn't even a new paint job either. Changes are 3U/4U to 4U/5U and 7.0mm shaft to 6.8mm shaft. If they kept it the same it would be much better IMO. No need to change what isn't broken. No. You're not seeing ****. The FC does look bigger to me too. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
And I was convinced that my eyes were only fooling me. So either that shot was a bad perspective, or that FC is indeed the opposite of compact. On the other hand - isn't that TK-F already quite big headed?
which made me look up the specs of the original TK9000 hmm so they've updated the frame material to include the "hard cored technology" of the TK9900 and TKF slight bump up in warrantied tension is nice looks like they've changed a few things... reminds me of the re-releases of the different TK9900 Victor's QC was also never particularly reputable tbh... badmintoncn community has found that TW TKF has a longer handle, shorter shaft as compared to CH (as well as CA) codes numerous cases of slightly different coloured paint jobs too
