Yup, it's He Bingjiao vs Tai Tzu Ying tomorrow, time for TTY to avenge her WC defeat on HBJ. Personally, I'm more curious to see how Cai Yanyan might fare against TTY, alas, not to be, another time then.
I'd hate to have Pedersen as a practice partner. Imagine wanting to have a nice game and her delaying that serve for hours...
None so blind as those who won't see, TTY's superb fitness level unbeknown to you when it's well documented there in her thread ? (I'm not sure by your triple emoticons whether you're just smiling broadly or grinning from ear to ear or ROFL, each carrying a different connotation). Well, I ignored you when you indirectly talked about me in the Momota thread with some name-calling, thinking you were still feeling sore and needed to throw one of your temper tantrums as is your habit, so I thought just let it , couldn't be bothered. Now you're itching to have another go at me here ? Be my guest, Mr CunningLinguist.
By the way, when you're much fitter than your opponent, you can outrun your weaker opponent in long, punishing rallies and come out on top more often than not.
Yeah, that's why CYF wins her games against RI or that three-setter against SJH a while back. Curiously, you never mention that the win is due to stamina in those instances.
Almost everybody here knows IR has stamina issues, and I myself have talked about it more than once. The only time when IR improved her fitness/stamina significantly was when she won three SS titles in a row but after that, no more, her old problem resurfaced.
Let's leave it at that, no use in discussing it anyway. I just suggest to accept the possibility that sometimes even a opponent we might not like is simply "better" than our favourites and that this opponent deserves some credit.
And, to add, in that last match that Chen Yufei beat Sung Ji Hyun, both ladies were visibly fatigued, CYF only getting the better of her opponent by sheer determination and tenacity, not better stamina, in a close affair.
I always believe in giving credit where due, it's just that you're picking on that one particularly incident and extended it unjustifiably to other players/cases. OK, fine, let's leave it at that. Let the future tell as those two hotshots, Momota and Ginting, will be treating us to many more thrilling battles ahead, their rivalry has only just begun.
