The most interesting in this World Tour Final is how JPN WD will send their pairs to World Tour Final. MatsuNaga has seal the spot. Only one spot for JPN WD. Both FukuHiro and TakaMatsu will be safe within the top 8. But, only one of them will qualify. They will compete at Fuzhou China Open and Hongkong Open. After that, TakaMatsu will compete at Syed Modi International. After Hongkong Open, FukuHiro's points should be more than 7000 points to seal the spot. If not, they are in danger of not qualifying as TakaMatsu will most likely win this WT 300 tournament.

Considering that there was tournament last month or so at BangkaBelitung, could have happened to any of the players.
As far as NBA regulations go, participation as a self-financed player in international tournaments is permitted, provided that a formal application to the NBA is made, and various conditions met. Following approval of the application, the NBA will enter the players in the relevant tournament. Taka/Matsu are not alone this time; almost the entire Unisys team will be joining them. (https://www.badminton.or.jp/news/2018/201801120_ind_player.pdf <Japanese>). I presume that Unisys will be picking up part of the tab. I can only hope that the players don't exhaust themselves before the All Japan Championships (AJC), starting on November 26. The results of the AJC are pivotal in determining the national team for the following year.
Maybe it is a good idea for this forum to have these tables displayed on the main page every week @Cheung These kind of weekly updates and exposure of the states of the competitions (tour) is a thing that is missing in badminton So difficult to keep track on the ranking table and similar tables

Because of their withdrawal from denmark and french open, it's gonna be hard fo fajar/rian to qualified now...just hope at least they can win some tournament.
The Japanese WD pairs are the only ones having to fight to the end for that one spot? So who is actually in charge of deciding which tournament to attend? The clubs or national team?

This is the ranking table of Race to Guangzhou XD category. The top 8 will join Fuzhou China Open and Hongkong Open. The maximum points that the XD pairs can earn is 20200 points (11000 + 9200). In addition to this, Dechapol/Sapsiree and Yuta/Arisa will join Syed Modi International which give the winner 7000 points. This means, they can potentially earn 27200 points from these three tournaments. I will just calculating the THA pair's maximum points possible. 68590 + 27200 = 95790 The difference between the above points with Zheng/Huang's current points after French Open. 95790 - 93820 = 1970 With this small difference, Zheng/Huang practically need to play just one match to seal the top spot. What a dominant pair.
FukuHiro and TakaMatsu will battle it out to qualify to World Tour Final. Only one of them will qualify as MatsuNaga, being a World Champion, automatically qualifies to World Tour Final. They will join Fuzhou China Open and Hongkong Open. They are separated in different half as they occupy the top 2 seeded pairs. Their current points difference : 84040 - 82270 = 1770. If both FukuHiro and TakaMatsu go to the final in those two tournaments and FukuHiro become champion in both tournaments, the points difference is as described below. 1770 + (11000 - 9350) + (9200 - 7800) = 1770 + 1650 + 1400 = 4820. This points difference will not be enough for FukuHiro as TakaMatsu will play at Syed Modi International and most likely win that tournament which gives 7000 points for the winner. In short, FukuHiro needs to win both tournaments (Fuzhou China Open and Hongkong Open) and hope that TakaMatsu mess up in their remaining tournaments.

In the case of TakaMatsu, I'm not sure I believe their results for the All Japan would matter all that much as it would appear so crazy for them to not be included in next year's A Team having reached 7 finals this year and won 4 of them, aside of course from their good performance at UC and AG Team. Also Watanabe/Higashino are a shoo-in at the XD A Team whether or not they win the All Japan imo.
Aside from the top spot which is really tight, the bottom 2 spots are also unpredictable. The Stoevas are only playing the SaarLorLux Open and none of Fuzhou, Hongkong and the rest. This means there is still a possibility that they won't qualify, which is a shame as they'd been playing rather well as of late. Also, since Du Yue is injured, the question is whether she can recover in time to play more tournaments so as to qualify AND if they will be a contender or simply a participant if they do qualify for Guangzhou. Lee So Hee/Shin Seung Chan and Della Destiara Haris/Rizki Amelia Pradipta still have a clear shot at qualifying.
I hope TakaMatsu will earn the spot to make up for their failure to reached Dubai SSF 2017. Yeah, the bottom one is unpredictable. Stoeva sisters will play at SaarLorLux Open and Scottish Open. If they win those tournaments, they will get 11000 points. Both of these tournaments are Grade 2 - Level 6 which gives the winner 5500 points.
