ZhangNan following LinDan steps..? A pity that such players cant retire gracefully.

It would be nice for players to retire like LCW, ZhaoYunlei , Natsir.

According to Chinese reports, since Jia Yifan came back from the French Open with a wrist injury that occurred at the Asian Games for which she had two injections but still not fully recovered as the problem relapsed, she has not touched a racquet until the China Open here.

Today is their, Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan's, very first match and for lack of practice, she's not able to regain her touch and/or exert too much strength. And long rallies strained her even more.

I see. That explained why they kept on running to each other on too many occasions.

Apparently, He Bingjiao and Chen Yufei are not in good form or haven't settled in yet.

That's definitely a very bad injury. Takes ages to recover. Should be at least half a year and the chance of reinjury is high.

After dropping G1, 19-21, Chen Yufei came back strongly to take the next two sets and the match, 21-9 and 21-10.

Oh dear, the article didn't say it was that bad, only that despite treatment, two injections, it relapsed and certainly , in Jia Yifan's own admission, it affected her performance quite a bit and she's not fully recovered yet.

I recall it happened to Chen Long's wrist before, early last year, I think.
