He needs to wait for other players' result. I will post the possibilities tomorrow.

Anyway, most of the spot has been confirmed. Only few spots left. Some players will just hope for other players to fall in order to secure the spot. I wonder what will FukuHiro do after winning HK Open. Will they try to prevent TakaMatsu from going to India? :D

On the other hand, Fajar/Rian's chance to WTF is zero now. But, they can help daddies to qualify by defeating the other contenders.

This image has a little mistake. Yuta/Arisa and THA pair will not compete in Syed Modi International.

Zheng/Huang and Yuta/Arisa are the first and second seed pairs respectively. They will be placed separately in group position.

The last spot will be determined by Ellis/Smith who will play at Scottish Open. If they reach at least SF, they will qualify to WTF. The points for that will be 63660 (59810 + 3850). This point is actually the same as Tang/Tse' point, but Ellis/Smith play more tournaments than HKG pairs. If they fail to reach SF, Tang/Tse are qualified instead.

The race is not over. Yuki/Sayaka and Misaki/Ayaka will battle it out for the last spot. Misaki/Ayaka will just need to play at India to ensure qualification. Looks like Yuki/Sayaka have to bear with this bitter outcome. I don't know how they will cope with this.

Anyway, the JPN WDs will be placed separately. It means Mayu/Wakana will not be in the same group as other JPN WD.

This category is the most competitive one. 3 slots are to be determined. 5 pairs will battle it out for these remaining slots.

Conditioning for these 5 pairs to qualify :
    - Hendra/Ahsan : Inoue/Kaneko don't win Syed Modi or Endo/Watanabe lost in R1 or Astrup/Rasmussen withdrawn.
    - Kamura/Sonoda : Two of these conditions must be satisfied. Inoue/Kaneko don't win Syed Modi, Endo/Watanabe withdrawn, Astrup/Rasmussen withdrawn.
    - Astrup/Rasmussen : Just play in India or both Endo/Watanabe withdrawn and Inoue/Kaneko don't win.
    - Endo/Watanabe : Win one match in India or Inoue/Kaneko don't win.
    - Inoue/Kaneko : Win the Syed Modi.

Marcus/Kevin and Chen/Wang will be placed separately.

The race for this category is over. This list is near ideal as 7 players who qualify to WTF are at the top 8 in world ranking. TTY and NO will be placed separately.

The last spot is for either Kenta and Sameer. The Indian need to win Syed Modi to qualify or else Kenta will be the one who qualify.

Hello everyone, can someone tell me how to buy ticket for guangzhou wtf 2018 in december later? I'm currently at guangzhou and I don't have any idea how to buy it, cause I don't feel like to buy it through waiting the queue line on the spot that days. Therefore I prefer to buy the ticket through online. Thanks!

Of all the disciplines, this MD has the most unexpected qualifiers rankings. I would have never imagined Chen/Wang as #2 and Liao/Su to be in the top 3. Or Kamura/Sonoda not qualifying with their 2 titles (MO S750, TO S500) and 1 final (DO S750).

I still feel that BWF should at least make an exception this time to let #1 and #2 qualify in addition to WC. I mean they both have over 90000 points! Much much more than the others. The purpose of having World's Tour Finals was to encourage the (top) players to participate in many tournaments and have the best 8 to battle the Finals title.

Well, this MD is very erratic for most of this year. Many of the seeded pairs lost in early round. Liu/Zhang, Boe/Mogensen, duo Mads didn't produce any good results, thus got out of the Race to Guangzhou. Kamura/Sonoda got some satisfying results, but they also prone to lose early. For Li/Liu, their performance since their WC title is not good. I don't know if this is because they are already satisfied or what. But, they will be out of race if they aren't the World Champion.

To put it simply, every MD pairs (except minions of course) are equal.

I don't think this will happen. But, honestly, I think that the tournament format of WTF should be changed considering that BWF has changed the criteria to qualify to WTF. I have an interesting idea about alternate format of WTF. I will post it shortly.
