I don't know but YYS does seem leaner in PBL than when he used to be in the national team. Just pray to god that nothing is wrong with him. (he is more on the skinny side now) Sent from my ONEPLUS A6000 using Tapatalk
Watching almost all of his highlight at PBL, he's definitely still belong in top tournaments. he's still really good and solid, barely make any mistake...kim sarang probably should consider playing with yoo instead of tan bh. it such a shame if we couldn't see yoo playing in higher international tournament because he hasn't got a decent partner.

Some really nice rallies in that highlight with Lee/Kim. A lot more videos left to watch, so I will enjoy it thanks guys!
Are you in the UK? How were you able to watch the videos in the links above? VPN? Doesn't seem to open for me.
https://www.badzine.net/2019/05/lee-yong-dae-and-yoo-yeon-seong-reunion-set-for-sydney/ WOW!!! So excited!!
The Badminton Times article on the subject seems to imply it is a new regular thing. They quote Yoo Yeon Seong as saying he hasn't had the motivation in the outings in his comeback but that now he will.
I think they're fired with Hendra/Ahsan performance lately. With correct tactic + Experience still can beat youth energy.
I think they will do well generally, but unless they change the way they play and become more versatile, they will continue to struggle against the current best pairings. The main issue with the way they play is their vulnerability to the disguised drop - which has become a common theme in top MD and is something they have always had a problem with and those that have played them before know this. The amount of opportunities that Setiawan has created against them over the years with this shot alone is incredible. Surely they must know this, so is definitely something they need to work on. Anyway I do hope to see LYD/YYS do well and re-establish their dominance.
To your point, if you recall the 2014 WC finals, Shin's drop shots proved fatal as it setup many easy kills. However, while their aft stance is a chink, their greatest vulnerabilities lie in the service reception and defense. Namely, Yoo is too defensive and apt to lift, unlike LYD who uses drive/block defense, and looks for mid-court holes to win the lift. Against sly opponents (e.g. Setiawan), the Koreans (in this partnership or - worse with Ko) lost so many short rallies where they never even got a chance to smash. So the challenge is for LYD to get back to his peak form, and for Yoo to learn an altogether new way of defending. Both are tall tasks, the latter being improbable at Yoo's age. I would gladly see them prove me wrong.
Both players streamed live now from the Summer Championships (QF), with different partners. They could meet in the final but not before
