They moment they can at least not lose early in GP/GPG/IS tournaments, is the moment they will bring out some excitement. Hopefully.
2 Champions today after both pairs become Professional. Hope less expectation bring the best of them.. Congrats CPS/GLY and GVS/TWK A good start for 2019!
BAM is in danger that they will not have anything to say in 2019. The two pairs that still have something went pro (congrats to them winning in Thailand), LCW is not back yet. Hope that the young guns could bring them something.
Young guns like Aaron/Soh, Lee Zii Jia, and others definitely need more time to adapt a stronger mentality. Being professional really helps MAS players, allowing them to be more mature and professional. Good job from Goh/Tan and Chan/Goh. With luck, perhaps they can achieve a bigger win in the future.
Exactly. It is just, sad. As it is, BAM could have no representation (or maybe just 1 or 2) in Olympics...
Maybe only 3 - MS, WS, and WD. For MS, Lee Zii Jia (or returning LCW) will do much better than Liew Darren and CWF. His style is more flexible and his result is already showing Macau Open and Korea Open. What he needs is definitely a stronger mental prowess. In WS, Sonia Cheah or Goh Jin Wei (definitely her) will qualify. The same also goes in WD, as both section have no professional pairs. Goh/Tan and Chan/Goh will be on top of other pairs, most likely
don't forget Leong Jun Hao, he was missing and not been play any tournaments since last year Thomas Cup 2018...
Injury la...always like that. LZJ finds himself in good form but have to withdraw due to back injuries. Same as Leong Jun Hao...sigh
LZJ & Leong injured? How they could rue letting Loh go? Anyway, always find GohTan a dark horse, wouldnt want to play them that early in AE. How is someone like their quality didnt win a title in 2017 & 2018 and then won straight away as professional , gotta ask BAM or maybe its a slap to BAM face.
CPS/GLY & GVS/TWK both pairs won title early in 2019 Thailand Master playing as independent.... hmm.... This proves BAM is very incompetent organization.
INA is upping 1 ahead of MAS now that Fitriani won one in Thai Master. Hopefully it is not a fluke one time event.
for Olympic silver medalists winning a wt300 is nothing to get excited over. do you think pv sindhu or lee chong-wei would consider it a major accomplishment?
But I think GVS/TWK had a not so impressive 2017 and 2018. So I guess winning WT300 will give them much needed confidence for WT500+ tournaments.
I was watching the the ongoing Thailand open. During the quarter finals both Lee Zii Jia and Soniia Cheah had their games at the same time. We only had one singles coach, so of course the women's single got the **** end of the stick and Soniia fought her battle coachless. BAM don't have money to pay for women's coach as well as men's singles coach? Thailand is too far and too expensive? All these talk about "Glory days" of Malaysian Badminton? Nothing but hypocrisy I think
Yeah...and Soniia was playing in the next court in that quarter finals. They sent only one singles coach so Soniia went without a coach, men is more important than woman in everything .... We were too poor to bring an extra coach to far away Thailand. Good job BAM, way to save money
MAS results so far in WC 2019: 2 MS: 1 1 WS: 0 4 MD: 1 2 WD: 2 3 XD: 2 conclusion: MD having worse result, and others will keep on falling soon
yes i agree today thursday wc2019, more will fall ... these are my thoughts cps gly vs hoki/nagahara i give slight advantage 60/40 LZJ vs Nishimoto also slight advantage 60/40.. since their head to head is 2-1 in lzj favour tkm/lpj vs dechapol/sapsiree .. dont think they will win this one 30/70 (watching their meet in singapore open 2019) cmk/lmy vs matsumoto/takahashi... nope... gvs/twk vs fajar/ardianto nope.. indonesian has improved way too much, they still stagnant vivian/ycw vs du yue/lyh ...nope just my observations i wish i am wrong though yeah.. our badminton did not improve at all since LCW. watching the wc2019, i thought, even vietnam is improving. soon they will overtake us just like Thailand did
