Probably minor but making sure she's fully fit for Purple League in MAS next week? Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk
Some issues with the hamstring, but doesn't sound too serious on FB. Still, the accumulation of injuries towards the end of the season for several players should be reason enough for BWF to think about the tour calender and the number of mandatory appearances.
it may be just me but it seems she doesnt perform well at the top events for some reason, ie the events that are the most important or defining for a badminton player's career, and ones where youd expect her to win (or where shes the clear favourite) eg olympics, world championships, world finals. by contrast sindhu and marin seem to always turn up and hit form at the big events.
She's playing well at the all england though, I consider that as a big event as well. oh and the asian games. I don't think she play that bad in this year world championship, just he bingjao probably played her best badminton against her that time. she looks nervous in that 3rd game though.
It's just you. Besides, she won the Tour Finals twice already, although there aren't that many fans around who consider that money-giveaway-event to be one of the "top events". And have you watched that first game against PVS? That was once again badminton perfection. We will most likely never get to know if and how much her hamstring injury was bugging her in that match already. Although in all fairness, PVS has played at the top of her game this week and fully deserved that win. It was about damn time for her too.
You're right... I don't see her in this list either. https://www.purpleleague.com/players.php Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk
What a development... (pictures taken from https://www.facebook.com/戴資穎-Tai-Tzu-Ying-164965326883996/)
And some more picture treasures. The grow up so fast! Again, all pictures taken from her official Facebook page.
She was so cute. Aside her more matured (hair style) and stoic look she didn't change that much under. By the way, why did she skip Indonesia Masters? She played in Malaysia Masters.
One can only speculate about how much she felt exhausted at the end of last season and how she plans the current one. I'm quite positive that she is targeting to be at top form for the WC, so she needs to change something in her training schedule compared to the past years.
Ah okay. She retired quite a few times last year and she hasn't been playing that well in MM either. As long as it is not a serious injury or illness. Hope she can rest well and be back to her fine form soon.
She's posted some pictures from a hiking trip towards the end of the year, so again, this might show that she really needed a break from badminton and the pressure that comes along with it. She has said a lot of times over the years how important it is for her to feel the fun in badminton on court. So her team is doing a good job to make sure she doesn't lose the fun in the long term.
