On the first image from @esppy you can clearly see the Airstream channels. So nope, not an old one. And it's obvious that this racket is not part of the current catalogue, so I guess we are looking at a soon to be released new racket or new color scheme.
Hi guys, I noticed Viktor Axelsen was using a new racket in Indonesia Masters. Any idea what he's using now?
Seriously, does that air slit really work or is it a gimmick? Doesn't it crack easier there in a clash? Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk
It really works in my experience. You can hear and feel it. It does give an interesting balance between feel on hit and speed.
Highly debatable issue imo. Only looking at aerodynamics, the effect should be marginal. The slits are covering a negligible part of the whole frame and stringbed surface and in theory, they should even create certain extra drag caused by the vortexes that the create. Another clear case of racket tech homeopathy if you ask me.
"Arcsaber FB", voltric 70 etune, astrox 77, and now this. Does Ratchanok even know what type of racket she likes?
Question should be; does it even matter what she uses? She wins her games anyways so that's all that matters. Sent from my JSN-L22 using Tapatalk
From the picture, i don't think it's a repainted AX77. The aero frame is significantly seen in nanoflare 700, instead of the usual AX77 Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk
I remember Carsten going from an NS9900 (extra-stiff, headlight) to a VT70 (medium-stiff, head heavy) and calling the latter "one of the best rackets ever". They'll use whatever their sponsor pays them to hold in a photograph. IME they care more about string than racket, in fact.
