It's over. VA can't attack anymore because he is tired. He has slowed down. Early congratulations to Momota.

At least VA can take something away from this match, his mentality issue less serious than previously

I support Momota, but when I see V. Sen at the end of the match, I don't feel happy anymore. I don't know why

This is Match Of The Year. Viktor smash 419 km/h, this is the new record in Men's Single

Momota made history, Viktor made new record

I knew it. Momota was saving his energy in the 2nd set. Congratulations to Momota for being the first Japanese to win the MS at AE.

For Viktor, one of his weakness is still his stamina. You can see in the 3rd set when Viktor was getting tired, he was getting desperate and going for winners rather than playing patiently. Viktor's stamina will be a crutch for him. Compared to Viktor, Chen Long who is also very tall, doesn't seem to have the same stamina issues. I have rarely seen Chen Long tired. And this will get worse for Viktor as he gets older.

As for Momota, he is copying LD's style. Not surprising since Momota considers LD to be one of his idols. Just like LD, Momota is willing to take it easy in the 2nd set, so that he can vanquish his opponent in the 3rd set.

If Chen Long smashes like V Sen in this match, I think he will be tired.

Momota made my day by winning, I was so worried in G3 before Momota pulled away and won that I couldnt even post but now I feel relieved and full of inner peace that my badminton hero has won.

I'm not sure why all the translators are so crappy. Can't BWF hire professional translators? Do the countries bring their own?

Emmmm I would say the Indonesian translator is really good as what she translates are 95% the same as the initial.
Wonder if you speak all 3 languages though?

Momota finished the job that his friend Kenichi Tago failed in All England 2010. Cruelly denied a final point on a dodgy line call. Kenichi then goes into a downward spiral that almost took Momota with him. But it's all come a full circle now, and it is very satisfying to see a happy ending after all. Momota and Kenichi can sit down with a good bottle of sake to celebrate their All England success, but not in another gambling den this time I hope. Congratulation Japan!

The Indonesian translator was especially bad. At one point Ahsan said "Thanks also to the supporters that have watched and prayed for us from Indonesia" and it got translated to "Thank you very much for the supporter that already support them from Indonesia as well."

This AE is full of upset. Congratulations to all champions. In the end, CHN bags 3 titles. This shows that CHN is still strong in major events.

the big surprise in current AE is the unseeded debutants Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik who came all the way to the final round, and only managed to get the runner up...

no one see this coming. They are indeed a promising pair. It shouldn't take long for them to become MAS MD1.
