It is really tough for AG and JC to reach Final. AG has SYQ on his way while JC has CL. The Indonesians never win against the top 2 CHN MS respectively. It will be a different story if AG and JC swap place.
Why did Axelsen and Jorgensen withdraw??? Jorg will lose points as he reached final last year. And AX should use the tournament to test the venue before WC later this year as a preparation according to me.
Viktor played there several times already, he knows the venue. I guess he registered for the Swiss Open as a backup plan in case of a premature exit at the AE - see LD, CL. Still, I'm very positively surprised about the quality of the lineup this year, especially in MS.

Lousy draw for the CHN WS, all six WS bunched up in two quadrants, three each and two R1 meetings, Han Yue vs Chen Xiaoxin and Li Xuerui vs Cai Yanyan, mutual annihilation. Maybe Chen Yufei should give it a miss, she deserves a break after her AE triumph.
