With that configuration, head weight should be around 37.8g.

Thing is, the frame shape is really distinct. It'd be hard to have a fake. You can clearly see it's the real frame shape. Whether she has a special 3U version or not is another matter.

One-half of the MD champion also was using NF right? Red.

In the semis Rattanon changed fr a red NF to the green one in the 3rd set. Why? Lighter racket due fatigue?

Hard to say. Both the red and green come in either 4U or 5U, so colour doesn't tell us very much. Could be she didn't like the grip or string.

Just to add, having restrung the NF700, incredibly sturdy frame.

Agreed. Saw my piece go on the machine at max warranty. Took it like a champ. Now I just want to try it as a 3U. My 4U is way too damn light.

Honestly, I've been side by siding them, and if you want a heavier NF700... they do still sell the N90.

The balance is very close. The N90 is heavier overall, with the shaft feeling a lot heavier than the NF700. The NF700 is more aerodynamic. The NF700 is easier to flex (but in line with the weight change). The NF700's weight feels more condensed than the N90. But they're not.. worlds apart.

Tbh my NF700 feels very even. I did have the N90 before but that was years ago... I didn't find it as aerodynamic though.. Been too long since I've played one though..

I mean, I never found the N90 to be 'insanely' head heavy. I think the ZF2 is more head heavy, and harder on the arm to swing, but the N90 is overall harder to swing.

The N90 definitely isn't as aerodynamic. The NF700's slightly softer shaft and better aerodynamics with overall lower weight make it easier to swing. Making an underarm whipping motion, it's much much faster with the 700. The same motion with the N90 gives me a bit of hand pain.

I wouldn't be shocked if we see LD with a repainted NF at some point. Maybe not this one in particular, but maybe one at some point.

just put some lead on the middle of shaft or somewhere further, at least there is such possibility with 4u especially with that light

I see no reason to. Not when I want it to weigh heavier as a whole. Even if I put lead tape at the mid point. I'm not truly adding weight or mass in such a manner which I desire. So I wouldn't be getting what I want in the end

Do you really find the 700 lacking as-is? ;)

Yes. My piece is really light. To the point I can't hit too hard with it without injuring my shoulder. Put it this way. Everyone so far has described it has having some heft felt at the head despite being even balanced. For me it's just a beefier BS12 in that respect. Hence why I want a 3U or perhaps a can cherry pick out a literal 84.9g 4U piece. Which I find very unlikely since their middle ground is 5U and 4U average.

Maybe you need to make the grip thicker?

By the way are we talking about N90IV as a comparison, which now has become Calibar 900B?

I meant the original Lin Dan used. They aren’t worlds apart.

Why would I want a thicker grip? I'm going to shift the balance even further back. I don't need that

True, it sounds crazy... but thicker grips add the weight of overall racket, and it will affect your downswing path... I cant quite explain the physics behind it, but I find it easier to generate power and momentum during smash with thicker grip.

    Maybe it's just me :p
