i've read somewhere that TTY is addicted to studying WHatttt? and that she's currently doing her phd after getting her masters degree last year is this true? anyone close to her can confirm?
Seems that you are late to the party. Here is the link. https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en/news/3452987 I just borrowed the link from someone here. You can check it in this thread around June 2018.
omg you're right..i did miss the news.. dang so sick....no. 1 in the world and doing phd at the same time......dang... anybody even come close.to.this? dang i feel so puny now....
Relax, it's sports science, so closely related to what she already does, and not exactly theoretical physics Still impressive ofc. German XD player Michael Fuchs did the same, although not as WR#1
Seriously, it's impossible to not like her, isn't it? Even if I don't understand a word, that positive aura of her is infectious. That must be every PR-guy's dream.
Just check the list of seeded players in BAC. There is no TTY in the list. Looks like she skips more tournaments in preparations of the big tournaments such as WC and OG. But, she hasn't win anything this year. If she doesn't win the title ASAP, there is a chance that someone will overtake her number one position.
TTY calls it: "trendy and hip-hop style" The full post: https://www.victorsport.com/news/18570/crown-collection-2019-for-tai-tzu-ying
The earrings are awesome! Oh, and I also do like the colorway of this year's collection. Looks great imo!
I still don't get it, unless there's underlying injury/overuse issues bothering her...I also don't quite understand why she's so negative about herself, "running more than others to cover my weaknesses" is not how I'd describe TTY to someone who hasn't seen her play
I'm surprised to read that too, perhaps she meant run faster instead of run more. Don't forget, she speaks Mandarin, not English, maybe the translator misheard her or she herself misspoke. Just saying.
You say it now, and when she becomes a fading away LD, I bet everyone will start criticizing her and wondering why she hadn't retired when she was at the high.
Woahh, she'll retire so early. She'll be 26 by then. I don't want her to retire so soon. She was so confident stating she'll retire whether she wins an OG gold or not.
And I don't know about you, but there is not a shadow of a doubt for me that she will stay true to her words when the time comes. She definitely has a plan for her life and honestly, I have my fingers crossed that she really manages to end on a high note with an Olympic medal around her neck.
Overstaying your (almost) peak by a bit or 8 years is a massive difference. I'd criticize her if she made an almost ridiculously long deal in 3 years and started&continued rapidly declining less than a year after it was signed Oh, and all that after taking off almost 2 years with no obvious reason other than "I want to"
