true -k a better way of wording is do u think i should either use towel on top of factory or take off the original grip and use victor cushion wrap then add towel grip?
the tape of the towel grip will destroys any grip under neath. so you can pick either way. many ppl take off the factory grip and tape the towel directly over the wood underneath.
Do you know what size the handle is? The G number printed on the frame/handle area will indicate if it is already big - average palms will vary by more than you think. It's all depending on ethnicity, physical size and never forget, personal preference. Yonex tend to sell rackets with larger handles in Europe because of averages being larger there. It makes it difficult to recommend anything but the more layers you add the less you feel, obviously.
Thinner than a G3 but not too bad. It means you have scope to play with the size. Worth noting that plenty of power players do not use thicker grips. I was also once told that the heavier the racket the larger the grip needs to be. All nonsense. It is just personal preference, try it and if you feel like it gives you more power then stick with it. There was a trend at my old childhood club (1980s-90s) to have handles like tennis rackets with 2 or 3 grips on top of the original G3 handle making it like a G10 Even now some of the players keep handles way too big for their hands, I can't even hold them securely for a slow smash.
