That was a very crucial rally for PVS.

When I watched how Nozomi beat Saina in G1 yesterday, I suddenly have the feeling that she could be the female version of Momota, her ability to play so many quality shots in long rallies is what impressed me the most. Nozomi is also a fighter,an intelligent player, and very experienced and mature as well, all coming together at the right time. I believe she will be one of the top few contenders for the majors these two years.

Hmm, I notice that NO has a tape on her leg. What's going on her?

i remembered she won 2SS? getting injured in Final i believe she is the in form player coming into OQ.

WS is just less exciting without Marin around.

NO takes the lead in G2. I think she will win today.

The scoreline is currently making me look like the utter idiot I am, but since I'm watching wd, I'm guessing that Sindhu is making alot ot (unforced) errors.

Yeah and I remember how in India in an interview CM said that she is blown over by thr fact that she won OG Gold yet not many in spain even know about her but PVS has made so much fame and money by winning silver.

I think it has gotten to her head i mean who wouldnt love that..just imagine she is more rich than Simona Halep the former World No.1 Tennis player...i guess thats hurting her motivation.

May be she feels that she already has all the big medals and on top of that being the richest in Badminton category so may be she has lost that craving for more.

Sad but I guess its true.

I beg to differ, she is the nearly woman in the majors and that should increase her hunger even more to chase that elusive gold, just like LCW's case. Mind you, she is still only 23 years old. And LCW at his ripe old age and health scare is still chasing rainbows, so to speak.

IMO Sapsiree, like Higashino, is one of the few women in XD who can play solidly in back court. She also has excellent eyes in placing shots.

Didn't TTY beat Marin decisively the last time they met. But, admittedly, Marin is up there with the very best, the top few.

Agree however You forgot to mention the whole point which includes the FAME and MONEY.

Mind you being a BILLIONARE does get to your head..and she probably has more money than any Badminton player in the world and That does affect the psyche of the player and thats where I beleieve her motivation is damaged.

She may be nearly Major but has been consistent in her podium finishes and if her silvers could make her a billionare than why run for gold ??

I hope you get my point

NO easily wins again and goes to the Final. Her first time this year. Her accuracy and judgement are better than PVS today. I don't know what happened to PVS as she made a lot of UEs.

I'm with you, but I don't want to single Singapore out too much, as other tournaments across the globe are guilty of that, too. Most deserving of critique is the BWF, who should simply introduce rules that regulate these things. It's not like any organisers are going to say "damn, we can't put the #1 seeds on court 4 anymore, let's quit this whole tournament business."

It seems like there's some bug in the Indian camp, everyone looks so tense and under-confident and walk with heads down low.

I mean come-on nobody died, you only lost g1. Get a grip. Also, I really don't like when coaches fire instructions and cheers every single point their player lose. Imo it only heightens the senses that you aren't doing well.

I'd suggest PVS to play a smaller tournament or maybe skip some and train, these losses aren't doing any good. Neither to her ranking nor to herself.

After having all the fame and money, do you still go for more of the same ? What about the higher goals such as Esteem and Self-actualization needs, to use Maslow's theory as an example.

I'm sure Sindhu wants the WC/OG titles more than anything else now.

I think Sindhu could be having a sort of bad day while NO is on top of her game to make the scoreline looked so bad for her.
