I have flat feet and I need shoes with a flat inner sole, can anybody use their knowledge of badminton shoes to hand me down a heavenly recommendation?

Quite the opposite, you need good arch support from the insoles. You will get tired sooner with a flat insole.

You clearly do not have flat feet

I get knee pain from having artificial arches

Lol. Maybe your knee pain is not related to arches but lack of shock absorption?

No. If someone knows a shoe with a flat inner sole, please let me know. Otherwise do not reply to this thread

Indeed I already play with my orthotics in. But the curvature of the shoe means my foot is not flat. Flat feet is not what I wish to discuss thank you to all who have tried to help me in this area.

The shoes which I have that are flat are the most comfortable for my knees, they do not twist.

Do you replace the insoles with your orthotics or are they for the arch only? Most shoes have arch support in the insole so hard to avoid unless you replace the insole.

From experience, Asics gel-upcourt (bottom of the range) shoes have flat inner soles but are pretty poor quality overall and I found them uncomfortable but didn't have my own orthotics at the time. Now that I have full replacement insoles with arch support I wear yonex aerus 2 which also have little arch support built into the sole, it's mainly in the removable insole.
