Damn! I don't expect this outcome. And for KM to lose in this match of all tournaments with such a big margin. I hope KM doesn't suffer major meltdown after this. Stay strong, KM!

Like I have siad before, Momota needs to learn to play a fast pace crazy attack game like LCW to compliment his grinding slow pace style

Yeah, XXZ got the treatment too.

China should host more Sudirman Cup tournaments. Their result at finals when it is held in their country is always 3-0.

Actually, JPN lost 1-3 to CHN in Thomas Cup.

Yup, Kwun. It's just as I thought. Momota was only favored to win, but not a heavy favorite. SYQ picked up his form from the SS final while Momota was clueless on what to do. The second and third set were a repeat of the SS final when SYQ beat Momota for the first time.

As good as Momota is, he has his weaknesses. Also, I wonder if Coach Park had to play Momota 4 times throughout the tournament. Japan's MS depth isn't that bad. And Malaysia was without LCW too. I wonder if Japan could have played another MS against Thailand or Malaysia, thereby allowing Momota to play one game less.

Momota was playing well in the first game but then on game point he completely let go. This trend continued in game 2 and 3.

    He simply lost the initiative.

But that was a crushing defeat ... a crushing crushing defeat :(

    I'm hurt ... bye guys :(:(:(

INA can’t win vs JPN in team competition. 3-2 or 3-1 does not matter. Had AG won yesterday, INA WD and XD will fail

uhm. My thought is Momota was alone when China has Shi Yuqi and Chen Long.

Momota's stamina is not as good as Shi in this match.

True and they will continue hosting major team tournaments. BWF is lucky there is CHN rich cities paying these tournaments.

Congratulations China! China is formidable on home ground and have a fantastic record of never losing in China.

Japan should have started with XD and needed to win WS and MS. I didn't expect Kento Momota to self destruct in game 2 and 3.

Who will challenge China in 2021? :)

Are you angry that China is putting out the money for badminton?

Because more money in badminton is a good thing for the sport and for more athletes choosing badminton as a profession. We need more money in badminton, larger prizes, more sponsorship, so that players can live off of badminton as a profession.

If more money is put into badminton by China, then good for the sport! That ultimately means more money spread around to players around the world. Please don't be so short sighted and look at what is good for the game in the long run.
