Looks like most of the seeded players will advance to R2. So far, only 2 seeded pairs that failed to do so, one of them is the retired one. Somehow, it is strange to me, given that Istora usually produces many upsets. Whatever, let's see for the matches tomorrow. More upsets more interesting.
It's unlucky for Fuku/Hiro, the Holland pair on court was European game 2019 Champion. Not an easy pair at the first round for Fuku/Hiro.
in the top levels, its the game played (within)between the ears. and in that domain they lose out time and again.
Country representatives in R2. 17 - CHN 13 - INA 11 - JPN 7 - MAS 6 - THA 5 - HKG 4 - KOR, IND 3 - TPE, DEN 2 - GER, ENG 1 - USA, IRL, CAN
TTY puts on her Houdini hat and steals the show once again... Was starting to wonder in G1 if she might still be injured from Sudirman...but I guess she was just warming up : P
It’ll probably arrive on Monday morning... Surprised LD didn’t walkover after that umpire overrule...talk about making a bad situation even worse.
Oh BWF...how you have screwed the players...the fans...and yourself. Welcome to amateur hour on the world tour!
With no hawkeye STILL and the mockery of the Sport No Wonder Badminton is non exitent to most of the world...and this tournament is suppose to be a 1000 grade. Disgraceful from BWF
I highly doubt some other countries even know about BWF's mistakes. However, BWF may be at fault for not making badminton popular enough.
