Compared to last year, it was extremely difficult to secure good tickets for the tournament, ... which of course means that badminton has finally started to draw some attention in Japan. I only hope that Momota lasts until the weekend, as that is when I will be hitting Tokyo.
May I know from what time the queue has become long? I bought the ticket for final at Istora yesterday. When I went there, the queue is already very long even before the ticket box was opened. I am curious how is the situation around the ticket box and the queue.
Forget ticket boxes; tickets have been largely sold out for some time. There will be a queue, though, ... actually two queues: 1. Everyone with a ticket for seating in the "stands" will be queuing up to scramble for the best seats on the third and fourth floors of the arena, as tickets do not come with designated seat numbers. Here, you would probably want to start queuing two to three hours before doors open. 2. There will be another long, long queue for Yonex goods.
Will you be going every day???? You should expect queues for the SF and Finals. The rest should be fine.
No, I think I will skip tomorrow haha. SF and F days are the ones I will be "Stand"-ing. I hate non-reserved seats, there is no way I can survive hours of queue.
Is it just me or do most tournaments seem to always use all these players on their posters? I rarely see other players like Zheng/Huang for example despite they're WR #1.
Isn't it always because of the sponsor and home player thing? I mean Chinese players use Li-Ning, meanwhile most of the tournaments sponsored by Yonex

Frankly, I don't expect TTY to win the title. She was sick back at Istora. AY beat her fairly comfortably. With AY's victory at Istora, she will be at rank 2 AND only a few points behind TTY. AY has a good chance to become the new queen. This time, it will be her own effort instead of the points lost from TTY one year ago.
Given that she lost the #1 spot because she herself couldn't defend her points from the Asian Championships due to injury, this statement is a bit unfair.
