They do look really nice you have to admit. I wish green was a more utilised colour scheme rather than just being used as accents like in the Astrox 88S/D

The actual AX99LCW have a lot more purple in them. The 2 nd half of the frame of the clones has accents similar to the JS10.

Well, nothing like the original one, seems like AX99LCW is something like in between the AX88S & AX88D(more similar the AX88S). Again, these are just my thoughts, may be they could play differently. And a BP of 306mm, nothing similar to the AX99.

The AX99 had a change in specs during release. Racquetforce had measured the early ones. The current AX99 should bei Same as AX99LCW, but LCW will differ compared to the first AX99 batch.

I have not bought the racquet hence can't do that. All the credits of these photos goes to Racquetforce FB page. Ask them on that and they might reply you.

The swing of a 4U AX99 of my friend was heavier than my 4U AX88D. My friend had bought his racquet 2 months back. I have not looked at the Code, but he said that he bought his racquet on the day the stock came to that shop. Will look at his racquets' code and confirm the production date

    Hey guys,could anyone compare astrox 88d 4u with astrox 99 4u?
For doubles, which in your opinion is better?Have almost finalized astrox 88d 4u,but just wanted to get one last opinion.
From what i read above, astrox 99 4u is unwieldy, sluggish in defence, though has slightly better smashes than astrox88d 4u,right?

New batch of Axtrox 99 will be lighter than before, but if you comparing 4u 88d and 4u ax99. 88d will be lighter for sure. As for me, i feel 88d is too light and can't really feel the head weight but of cause, it definitely faster than Ax99.
4u ax99 is usable in double and if you able to kill your opponent in 2-3 smash. but this had to depend on personal skills and physical.

If you want a faster racket and pack with punch. 4u 88D is a safe choice. but if u prefer a powerful racket and willing give up on a bit of speed. 4u Ax99. will get the job done.

The best solution for you is to test out the racket yourself.

Get the AX88D. As much as I have heard the AX99 has changed and BP, swing weight and total weight is almost close to the AX88S now. Better go with the AX88D also because it is cheaper of the two

I just purchased an Astrox 99 in 4u and can’t wait to compare it to my 88d 4u. I asked for one of the new batches so it would come out lighter (assuming the rumours here are true). Can’t try it for another week while I get it strung however.

Probably will be the exact same racket, hate the colour scheme on 88d though so this racket is an improvement either way.

88D 4u is ideal for me in doubles. Whipping action is quicker than with 4u ZF2, which is my benchmark.

I have an enormous collection of high end rackets, I kid you not when I say that 88D 4u feels the best.

I will have the 99 in 4u to try soon. I have it in 3u, don’t bother with it unless you exclusively play singles.

All strings in aero bite 26lbs by the same YY stringer.

Presume ur 99 3u is the 'original' 99?

From the swing weight readings, new 99 3u seems usable for doubles.
Though I only have the old and new 99 4u

I'd much rather the older 99 than this newer altered spec.

Yep I bought it (3u) as soon as it became available. Heavy as hell (pretty much same as 3u ZF2).

I’ll reply to thread comparing the 88D 4u and 99 4u when I have a hit (or 2) with it.

I like it slightly lighter so I’d much rather the newer batch.

Of course to each his own. I just find the alteration pointless with the existence of the 88D. There isn't enough of a difference to warrant it.

Yeah I’m actually banking on it being an 88D with orange skin.

    Don’t need me a 3rd 4u ZF2 haha
