not a good promo for BWF, but then sometime final is like this. i have watched a couple of NBA finals where it ended 4-0. even some of the tennis French open finals are one sided, or the WS finals contested by Serena Williams in the past.

Lol not sure if this WC final is a very good way to promote badminton to the world. People will think the highest level of badminton is a joke.

I feel slightly better about the Japanese pair losing yesterday after seeing the Thais suffer the same fate today by pretty much the same kind of scoreline.
Though, I must say that the thai pair is improving much faster than WataHiga.

When you compare HYQ and HDP, just count how many shots HYQ anticipates and intercepts successfully at the front court area, not to mention defense and shotmaking when at the back, and you immediately see the difference in class between the two outstanding ladies.

I think it’s gonna be tight. INA had to go 3 sets in SF, where JPN won in 2 relatively short games. And that’s on top of the 10+ year age advantage. If it goes to 3 sets INA are really gonna have to grind it out.

Maybe the way around can also happen. Anyway, I just want to see a match with 22-20, 21-23, 29-30. That would be a glorious final to close out the day.

Anyway as long as Ahsan/Hendra wins, I don't care how the MD match will be.

He is so much better now than his time with Chen Qinchen. Back then, he was just a pure attacking player, and now he is good in every front. Great discipline and determination to improve.

Actually my prediction that India will win a gold for the next 3 years might not come true.

None of the news channel are making a big fuss about it.
Only DD news makes a small subheading.

Star Sports 1,2,3 all showing just kabaddi or such .
You need 3 channels for kabaddi?
At least star channels show some badminton.
Sony sports channel never even touch badminton.
A boy I know replied that he would rather watch kabaddi because badminton is a "feminine sports". What can I say?
India is hopeless for (especially male) badminton.

I should think Ahsan/Setiawan can make their experience count against the surprise JPN MD package
