This is a very good chance for CHN WS to grab the title here, since all the top guns were out. If I were Chen Yufei, I would be so mad if HBJ wasted it, let see
May rushing those 4 match points but all didn't go her way - shows how patient play is usually more consistent. Also her line judgement is still terrible, needed that last challenge to win the match!
aha... confirmed by Gill and Morten... hawkeye is showing every shots even tho no 'challenge called' And both of them get to see it?
Did Rian make service error today? didnt watch the match.. wow what a score.. they just beat KamSon last week, but this just looks another level scoreline.
HBJ...You beauty..Thanks for making me proud of your sheer determination to avenge your loss at IND Open..Your still young and have so much time to win more..just keep working hard and work on your agility a little and Theres no doubt I will see you one day at OG Podium For Form.World Champ RI, you played amazingly and showed why your a former world champ the stamina and power is all geared up which is so nice to see...As I have said I would love to see you fulfill your career with an OG Medal next year...So Go for Tokyo RI Overall A great display of badminton by Former WC Champ RI and WC Bronze Medalist HBJ who is the well deserving Korea Open Champ...Loved it..In Tears for HBJ..so happy for you.
"She walked to the edge of the precipice, looked over, and decided to come back." wow, Gill is unusually poetic here.
Congrats to HBJ on a well fought battle to end her 2 year title drought. After playing so many 3-setters this tournament it seems HBJ has somehow finally overcome her stamina demons. What a turnaround for her... I’ve never seen such pitched battles for racquets in crowds
I read somewhere saying that HBJ was just a Queen of Civil War and always lost to foreign players. She proved it wrong (at least) today. Congratulations to HBJ and I'm happy for you
