Overall, it's five titles. Sourabh Verma adds S100 title after Hyderabad Open last month. Then Saina Nehwal also Rankireddy/Shetty nailed S500 victory in Jakarta and Bangkok respectively. Pusarla Sindhu clinched the biggest one in Basel.

I think so, this player is quite stagnant and underperformed, she has same age with He Bingjiao but had been overtaken by juniors like Han Y, Cai YY and Wang ZY (soon).

    There's nothing great about it.
SN's victory was bitter sweet (CM's severe injury) and it won't be completely wrong to say, CM would've won it.
SN didn't look too good in that final and unfortunately hasn't since.

Not to mention KS's abysmal form. HSP getting injured again (multiple times), Sameer back to square one after showing some potential last year.

Sikki Reddy has been consistent to blow away numerous chances (pity her partners)
All our "promising" juniors quickly dismantled, showing that they are stillll way behind their counterparts from ROW

Other than Sindhu's momentous victory and BSP's suprise this WC , the fans got very little to cherish.

Let's hope Satwik recovers quickly, there's still some big tournaments

At the Yuzu INA Masters'19 S100 tournament, I thought Bai Yupeng is done for at 12-19 down in G3 against Lin Chun-Yi, but when I next checked the score, he actually reversed the situation to emerge 22-20 victorious!

Liu Haichao also managed to come from behind to win a three-setter after dropping G1 to Shota Omoto.

Lei Lanxi is out, suddenly erratic in G3, sent packing by MAS Goh Giap Chin (how old is he ?).

She's just 14. She'll be a better player in future . Riko is definitely a class apart from her. Malvika has started focussing on seniors maybe she's not eligible for junior age. Tasnim won Asia u15 title in GD last year.

    According to BWF profile :

Lei Lanxi, is he potential? China brings six MS young prospects to Malang, two had been ousted yesterday, three marched on with tough battle while the highest ranked here Sun FX got first round bye.

HK did pretty well in their group beating Russia and Malaysia. I forgot the other team. Last match is against Macau who are traditionally weak and therefore HK should top their group

It looks like Team Japan has the ability to inflict damage even in the absence of Naraoka Kodai. Gunji Riko looks promising.

It was all over for team India when Meisnam lost. Had he won, maybe we had a slight chance in BD as India is weak at GD.

It's interesting to see Japan BS player Takuma Kawamoto has played mostly doubles and was fielded in singles for this tournament. He has a playing style of refurbished Tanongsak.

The decision to drop Naraoka from the Championship was a fairly recent (and controversial) one; accordingly, Kawamoto's transfer to BS will have been equally recent. ...

Who's the second best Japanese BS player after Kodai ? I've checked Takuma profile in tournament software. He's played only one singles iirc in Osaka Challenge.

That's a good question. I don't think anyone is close to Naraoka's level currently, although Kawamoto did actually manage third place in the inter-high championships held this August. You may want to keep an eye on Takei Riki, who is still only a first year HS pupil. He was the national junior high champion last year, and he has been included on the team in this Championship.

USA Iris Wang is fast and aggressive, Wang Zhiyi struggled to cope with her attack, barely scraping through in three sets.
