No ranking points for the competing juniors, the ranking playoff matches doesn't give any benefit beside the so-called "experience". Only the quarterfinalists are allowed to get maximum individual quotas for next edition, while the 9th ranked team and the last placed team gets the same quotas. The real benefit of the ranking matches is actually to make sure your team is not in the top 15 so you can get financial assistance from BWF to send your team
I realised only 3 pairs from a nation can compete in individual event. Remember it was 4 last year. Its better that way, making it more competitive and tense..2/3 pairs are just nice imo.

I am impressed by Su Li Yang, TPE player. He attacks well and also have good defence with great footwork. He's defeated Meiraba Luwang in the team event. Now they both are playing against each other in second round.
Only 2 MS of india through to the next round of BWF world junior championships 2019. Meiraba lost to Su Li Yang of Chinese Taipei. Disappointed.

They did not select him. He is 4th in the ranking. @badmuse, could you tell me why Sankar Muthusamy was not selected? But he is just 15. So, they might have thought that he has still time. He is ranked no.1 in domestic under-17 ranking.

From 17-14 up in the decider, the Indian pair lost 7 consecutive points to lose 21-14 against no.1 seeds Indonesians Leo/Jamil. If you don't capitalise on the lead like in the decider they were leading 13-7 and 17-14 up, then these stronger pairs like Indonesians, Chinese and Thai will harm you .
