Gemke triumphant was followed by Viktor Axelsen and Anders Antonsen who subdue Thailand opponents straight forwardly, Khosit Phetpradab and Kantaphon Wangcharoen respectively. Hot favourite Kento Momota repeat his Basel World Champs convincing mode over Sai Praneeth, 21-6 / 21-14, the Indian was trying his best to balance Momota excellent stroke at the beginning of second game as the Japanese committed some unforced errors but still two-time World Champion is on his element to dictate the pace, ending neck to neck circumstances. Chen Long, Chou Tien Chen overcome their second rival succefully and will set up a big match today. Korean young sensation An Se Young fulfill her huge potential, eliminating World Champion Pusarla Sindhu, thanks to An relentless attacking shot as the Indian looks couldn't anticipate well plus many simple errors. Saya can win today Gao beat 3 olympic medalist and lost to a jp player at china open 2017 final. Hmm, an can have the same fate. Can she
This is the first time minions would play han/zhou in not slow playing condition, should've won it more comfortably. Marin vs an se young would be interesting.
its takes 2 person to make a good pair …. I always felt that Gideon is underrated, whenever minions loses , its GIDEON , when they win its all about KEVIN. = /
But it is often Marcus when they lost. Why? It's his body language that is too easy to guess for the opponents. Most opponents would target him. And he broke under pressure not his lack of skills whatsoever.
If they lost is just becoz Marcus couldn't defend, they would have lost most of the time. and if Marcus at rear court is without any threat, do you think kevin can perform at what he is best at the net...
Do you understand what body language is? It's so easy to tell when he is not in form and struggling. His face and body expression are very negative, scowling, head down, excessive shouting/ celebration, no self confidence, acts as if the world is ending etc etc. Opponents won't find him threatening at all, instead it's like asking them to target him. It's something that Marcus needs to work on himself individually.
Think MD is in its best eras. All the matches are so good , so hot and sometimes controversial too . So much ego is involved . Looking ahead to 4 of the matches to day.. was able to watch LiLiu & KamSon match yesterday, its always close , a little and situations can change very fast. Not surprised if its HanZhou vs LuYang in SF and the other probably KamuraSonoda vs AhsanHendra. My take is LiLiu have to win this title , they are looking really antsy and agitated . They are at their second longest stretch without a title , i cant remember them being this consistent yet has nothing to show for. Its frustrating and the more they think about it.. Of course Minions will play before them.
