Hmm, I can imagine NO crying, but not AY. AY hardly shows her emotion on court. If you want to see the player cry in Badminton, try CL after winning his OG gold medal.
I saw Akane crying like baby after losing Nozomi in Rio 2016. I'm the one who love but not the one who just say ^-^ You should go back to this video to watch the moment, Akane rarely shows her emotion on court. Chen Long is the humble man ^-^ a guy with best attitude I've ever seen on court. ^-^ I just wish to see Nishimoto smiling on court. ^-^ that must be a the moment he won a title.
Ouch...AY's face looks very very sorry, can't bear to see such a face, I want to hug her No one has followed up the Junior Mixed Team Champ? tonight Jpn against Chn. There is Guntji, maybe she can be next AY, at first glance it looks like LOL
Too bad it's not aired: the other semifinals is shown live on the bwf channel. Right now, it's 1-1, but Kawamoto has just won Game 1 of MS: could we have another upset?
MatsuShida lost to Indonesian pair? Matsuyama again...if I were Shida, I would have put on a disgusted face like Ayaka T did. I don't know how long it takes her to fix her game which is full of errors. the defenses are also really bad
Just watched the replay of the first game, because I've become too old to subject myself to any more live performances of these two. What can be said that hasn't been said? It's always the same story: a) defense and lift quality is mediocre b) Matsuyama's errors top everyone in WD c) a and b worsen when the game gets close Those errors from 20-20 and 20-21 probably seem really severe, shocking even, for people who haven't watched Shidamatsu much or not at all. For a "veteran" like me, it's a regular game. Just looking at a 20-22 score line has me thinking "Oh, close loss, how surprising. They probably were in the lead and then Matsuyama messed it up with heavy errors." Bingo.
In a notice issued on September 30, the Kumamoto Prosecutor's Office has decided to drop the case against Imai Akihiro, former coach at Saishunkan, current coach at American Vape, Gifu. The Kumamoto Badminton Association had filed criminal charges against Imai for fraud and extortion, but 'insufficient evidence' resulted in the decision not to prosecute. Imai and fellow coach, Yoshitomi, now plan to request that both the Kumamoto Badminton Association and the Nippon Badminton Association make a formal apology, as well as take measures to restore their honour. In the absence of such measures, both coaches may initiate legal action. Kumamoto Badminton Association, for its part, finds the Prosecutor's decision unacceptable and regrettable, and has no plans to reinstate Imai's registration with the Association.
I think these two coaches should just leave this case closed, not the high profile asking for an apology and acting as if they didn't do it? Not proven because of insufficient evidence, but not mean they didn't do it. My logic is simple, if they didn't do that, there's no way Kumamoto Assosiacian sues them for no reason. I hope this case closes soon and does not affect the relevant players. Fukuhiro also please don't give comments on this case again, it will will reduce your fans' respect for you
Riko Gunji qualified for the finals of the World Junior Championships, by beating the Number 1 seed Phittayaporn CHAIWAN: will she be able to follow the footsteps of Nozomi Okuhara and her idol Akane Yamaguchi tomorrow?
Her style of play reminds me so much of Akane's style, so fast, good defense and skillfull techniques, hope that she win tomorrow
Yusuke ONODERA is on a roll: after winning the Sydney International 2019, he is now in the finals of the Dutch Open, beating Sameer VERMA and LI Shi Feng on the way.
Well, she has had a much harder draw than her finals opponent of tomorrow (time on court: 3:32 vs 2:05), who had a walkover in the first round, easy, mostly European opponents throughout, and basically another walkover in the semi final against compatriot Dai Wang, who, I'm sure, gave her very, very best but didn't quite manage more than the - by far - fastest match of the semi finals. If Gunji manages a win tomorrow, it will be a remarkable achievement. I won't get too excited though, because I think this current crop of WS youngster isn't very good in general.
Surprised that AO beat RI. I think this is the first time AO win against a top player. Also, RI has lost against 4 JPN WS this year.
Whilst most eyes are firmly fixed on the Denmark Open, in warmer climes, somewhat less prominent players are also battling it out. At the Dubai IC, the following players have made it to R3: MS: Naraoka Kodai, Onodera Yusuke, Shimono Hashiru. (Yesterday, a re-vamped Onodera, runner-up at the Dutch Open, managed to beat Seed No. 1, Subhankar Dey.) WS: Ebihara Shiori, Urushizaki Mako MD: Matsui/Takeuchi, Takano/Tamate WD: Iwanaga/Nakanishi XD: Urai/Miyaura And, on the domestic front, the 70th All Japan Inter-Collegiate Championship just finished yesterday, with the winners as follows: MS: Tanaka Yushi (Nihon U). National Team B player, Obayashi Takuma (Waseda University), ranked in third. WS: Kayama Miho (Tsukuba U) MD: Yamashita/Yamada (Nippon Sport Science U). Yamashita Kyohei is actually a National B team XD player, who usually pairs up with Shinoya Naru. National Team B MD player, Onodera, who for this tournament paired up with MS B Team player, Obayashi Takuma (Waseda U), came third. WD: Suzuki/Tashiro (Nippon Sport Science U)
21-11, 21-13 in a very mature, encouraging performance. He rarely ever smashes but distributes with high quality until the opponent makes the mistakes or tries something too early. He especially played the short corners so well: hard to read, very precise. His smash defense is a real weapon, too. Any straight smash that isn't an absolute rocket is blocked cross with precision so the opponent has to run the full diagonal. Cross smashes are consistently block with highest quality to the short corner as well. In other words: you try to smash too early or with not enough precision and power against KN, he'll make you regret it immediately. This boy is going to be a nightmare opponent in two years time.
To some extent, WS too. Heck, WD is probably the only stable category that could last many years from the look of things.
