Zheng/Huang withdrew from HKO. I guess they have been unfit lately, either one or both of them. But good for Wang/Huang to seize any chance offered to them. I think his name should be written as Wang Yilv 王懿律, to get 律character you need to type 'lv' on your Chinese keyboard.. Nothing comes up if it's 'lyu' . Same case as 女 it's 'nv'.
Well it's better to have his official name from the BWF, otherwise many will get confused. It's the pinyin anyway. Not everyone knows Chinese or has Chinese keyboard either.
LOL it's not even the pinyin, no such a yilyu word in the pinyin system. Lucky no Chinese ppl come around here or else they might take it as a foreign word and translate it to mandarin as they did to Nadya, Kolya, etc. Anyway, it's just a suggestion, no offense
Well this is an English speaking forum and what stated in the BWF should be the standard for English, I am sure the Chinese speakers would go somewhere else for the Chinese. That's why I am using only the English.. or maybe I should add their Chinese characters too in the title? Hadn't thought about it .. can anyone give me their Chinese names in character? Maybe I can edit the title.
More pronounceable but unwritable esp for non native speakers who relying on the pinyin system to get hanzi. If pronunciation is the reason why not using 'yilü' as suggested by Google translate... more pronounceable and writable for everyone..
Yes, I agree, for non-Mandarin readers, better to use Hanyu Pinyin, otherwise they won't get the correct Chinese names.
Not every players name can be pronounced correctly even those with alphabets. and it's even harder to read pinyin for those who never learn Chinese. It's impossible for me to type lü unless copy and paste it. I think BWF is doing okay. Even Thai or Indian for another example are all using alphabets. It's the commentators who supposed to introduce the name properly. Not making up their own name like Khai yun instead of Chai yun.
Looks like you still don't get it, never mind. I hope bwf just copy paste the names provided by CBA and no need to make some improvisations, .. If they BWF have nothing better to do, well just play badminton :d

I don't remember if they have had played Seo/Chae before or their head to head. But the Thai pair and Chan/Goh definitely will be tough opponents to play. Somehow they always have tricky matches against the latter apparently. As long as they don't meet Zheng/Huang in SF, they should have a fair chance to get to the Final barred any upset.
