I thought there was some beef between Kevin and Chirag, which is a continuation of their encounter from French Open. Both of them did not apologize hitting the other. It was worse in French Open where Kevin would target Chirag's body and never apologize.
This pair is astonishing imo, how fast they have developed. Sharp in the flat game, good at defense, as dangerous as one could be when they get the opportunity. I hope they can sustain their never-say-die attitude and hunger for more - they must not be complacent. Perhaps they are lacking a tiny bit in the service situation, they also tend to get a bit nervous some times, especially Shetty. Definetly got all the potential in the world, i hope they keep on progressing for the good of indian and world badminton.
Enjoying watching these two play. Great match against Li/Liu and some really great plays against the minions.
Satwik Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty have achieved the targets of Year 1,2 and 3 and look on course to peak in Year 4 2020. This is the first time an Indian double pair looks like they can get an Olympic medal of any colour. Satwik/Chirag are inexperienced and that is showing in the tight matches. The positive is that they can get better with time on the circuit. Year 1 - 2017 No expectations just exposure and getting used to playing in different conditions and low level senior tournaments like BWF Tour Super 100 and BWF World Tour Super 300 Year 2- 2018 Quarterfinal appearances in BWF World Tour Super 500 Year 3- 2019 Semifinal appearances in BWF World Tour Super 500, 750 and 1000 Year 4- 2020 Finals and Titles in BWF World Tour Super 500, 750 and 1000

I am happy that they are hungry for more success as that shows they are not basking in recent glory. Staying grounded is very important and these two boys have shown that with their recent performances.” Said Uday Pawar, Shetty's first coach. Pawar believes they are capable of maintaining the consistency in the coming months. “Among the top doubles teams, they have beaten almost every pair barring the Indonesian and the Japanese duos. They are very quick teams and they keep the Indian pair on the defence with their speed. “And the Indian pair’s defence is not their strong point. Reddy and Shetty have played to their strength which is aggression against other teams. Though they lost to the Indonesian and Japanese pairs recently, both the matches were very close.” Pawar says he always expected the Indian pair to progress smoothly. “But the way they have done it, the rankings they have achieved is even better than my expectation. They have shown the kind of consistency that top five in the world show. “At their level to be this consistent, normally it takes a long time to achieve that. They have done this in a short period of three years and it gives rise to the hope that they will be the top combination very soon.” The Chirag-Satwik pair had reached the final of the French Open last month.
Not a good game today. Too many mistakes from their side. Couldn't watch second and first part of the third game. But from what I saw in the first game and later part of the decider, there was no sharpness and intensity shown by SatwikChirag and too many shots went straight to the net. Hope they learn from this loss and come back stronger in Syed Modi Super 300.
Hoki, Kobayashi play very well on their day, they play very fast. Iirc they defeated minions in WC'19.
I am a long time lurker here and today I signed up to ask this question, I use VPN to watch streams on youtube for the matches which are not available on hotstar. Where did you access yesterday's match of satwik and chirag? I only found streams from COURT 1 and COURT 2 their match was on some other court i think
They were leading 11-6 in G3 and they should have bagged the match but many UE and lose of focus after the interval has resulted in defeat. Hope they learnt a lesson y'day. Play hard. Train harder.
Dian Anita channels in YouTube. Normally you wouldn't need VPN for these channels. Few other channels too stream the matches. Play hard. Train harder.
