Has anybody played with this string, recently came to India, hence I was keen to know about any reviews of this string and comparison with the Li Ning No 1.[IMG][IMG]

For me personally, this string have more repulsion than LN No 1, and it doesnt feel as hard as LN No 1
Theres also LN No 1 Boost, i personally feel the LN No 1 Boost is a bit duller than LN 66 Ex, specwise the difference between No 1 Boost and 66 Ex is coating
Im not a hard hitter so durability is fine for me with all type of string except Aerosonic

Well my experience with the LN No 1 is difference to most people,as most people say it drop tension too quickly, fortunately mine doesnt drop that significant
On the other side i do notice my 66 EX does drop tension after quite a while, but probably because it was tied with only 2 knots where my LN No 1 is 4 knots,so dont take my comment as a comparison therefore i cant really compare about the retention

Make no mistake in hijacking your thread.. but just try the Carlton nanopulse 66 string once.. I just stung it and I must say it’s amazing in control, repulsion and power... all in plastic shuttle so just think abt feather the impact would be doubled..plus u get it very cheap

Just received my parcel from flipkart. Looking at the differences as per the manufacturer's specifications, in materials and structure, the LN66EX core has some nano braided filament and also has a coating as opposed to the LN No 1. On numbers there isn't any boost in control aspect of LN66EX, aside that everything else is a boost.

I will dropping them either on the AN7000 or N7II(it has been a long time since I have played with it) or the N9II[IMG][IMG][IMG]

I too wanted to try this string but not sure why I am getting carried away with other strings while I see them during stringing process.. lol. I wanted to try extreme but got carried away with gosen g-tone 5 and next time again wanted to try extreme again carried away with Carlton nanopluse 66..

I don’t want to cut my tc50d’s LN66 or the Carlton nanopluse 66 they are awesome.

Well, I think I expected a LOT from this string. This is definitely more repulsive than the LN1 but what I was expecting was the improvement in hitting sound, and it let me down(LN1 repulsion already feels perfect for me) hitting sound is almost similar.

Now, the only reason for one to upgrade from the LN1 to this is just the durability and tension retention, which would take time to analyse.

But for first impressions, it let me down, will be stringing the N9II with the LN1 tomorrow and compare it head to head in the sound department and, I hope it can change my mind in upcoming sessions.

Well now I will never consider the extreme good that I got carried away. Just string Carlton nanopluse 66 in n9ii and test. U will be amazed. It’s been more than a week for me with this string and I have never repented for stringing it. It holds the tension + sound is great with repulsion. Power is also great.. I play with plastics so durability is also fine..

Note: I am not canvassing u for Carlton, it’s just my 2 cents.. may be I started raving about it.. lol

Well, after three sessions of 2 hours each, I must say the tension drop is much more than LN1. While playing yesterday it felt like I was playing with a 17 or 19 lbs strung racquet. I could feel like the racquet was holding the shuttle before it leaves the string bed.

I had to use a little bit more force to clear the shuttle properly from baseline to baseline.

Only thing that is better is the control aspect. It is a little bit more rougher or should I say stickier than the LN1.

I don't know whether it is the fault of the stringer who didn't string it properly or what, but for now I am seriously dissappointed.

I just came back to my room and cut the strings, couldn't tolerate to play with it anymore.

I also had one session 2 hours with this string and like OP it was disappointing.

Similar as OP said above that it holds the shuttle. I don't think this string is repulsive. It is less repulsion than LN1. I can't really hit hard, all my smashes become weak. And also the sound it makes really disappointing. The scale 10 for the sound in the box is not right. LN1 produces way much better sound.

To me LN1 still the winner. I will try again for another 2-3 sessions before I cut it.
