WTF is supposedly the pinnacle of badminton tourney in a calendar year...it`s supposed to be the main event....so if a sportsperson playing in such tourney not giving his/her best due to strategy then what`s the point? viewers.would be disappointed. i know i would (yes i`m aware for some of the games only) this is different to other sport such as formula 1 pit stop strategy...even then team order is still controversial subject there coz it`s not `sportsmanlike` i get that players r human n need to plan n such....so plan it well for the tourney not during tourney come on n i`m not really blaming the players here...i just.find it.weird bwf is sticking to this format....i don`t see such `clever` strategy during grand slams main event but there are some matches where players should play at 80% to benefit him/her...ridiculous
I agree with you about this opinion, in anime that i like, you can lose the war but win the heart, but in reality, it isnt worth. On the other hands, can you use example not from Momota, i have seen many comment from you and so many of them use Momota as example, i remember that ZhengHuang suddenly and unexpectedly withdrew from some tournaments too
Saving grace for Sindhu. At last a win for Sindhu in her group, against He Bingjiao. She will lose massive 12000 points as she is the defending champion of this tournament. Back to drawing board Sindhu. She is way below her normal standard in this tournament.
That made me laugh quite a bit. Unfortunately, it did coincide with me munching on my beetroot salad. You know how hard it is to get those stains out of a shirt? Thanks!
Mayu is threatening when she has a good day and error-free I still wonder how Misaki and Wakana can play XD with their lousy serve like that
Towering above the rest need not be just one individual, yes, both Lin Dan and LCW are each other's archrivals and together they are head and shoulders above the rest. As for simply citing figures based on titles won alone to prove the point that Momota is not only the best but also way above the opposition as Mr Cunning Linguist has done, that, I personally feel is not good enough because, I repeat, that itself doesn't tell the whole story. Take Chen Long's case in 2015, allow me to repeat myself, he was acknowledged to be the top player of the year, yet nobody claimed he was way ahead of his closest rival(s), particularly, LCW, by a big margin. My answer is obviously a bit nuanced as I drew a distinction between being the best and towering above the rest; if you like, accuse me of splitting hairs. That's just my opinion. We can agree to disagree.
Once again,Chen Long's form these three days is rather unusual. He seems to be going through a transition stage since coming under Li Mao's tutelage about a month or so ago.
Jonatan is in an unenviable position of having to beat Momota in order to have any chance of progressing to the next stage of the competition. A tall order.
The way Momota has small chance of not winning the title is if he is to play ChenLong in SF and Ginting in F. That will be abit tougher compared to playing only Chen/Ginting in Final.
I somewhat feel sick and bored with Momota's dominance, just same as ZhengHuang's, TTY's and Minions' before. Some one please stop him!
