So they have dominated for 3 years, or you can say 4 years because 2016 , didnt they have the most SS(3 titles?) How many LeeYoo won that year?

Funny because that was Olympic year, even if Lee/Yoo retire after 8th SS of the year, they already won 2 before that in very tough field. There was ChaiHong and bunch others , quite intimidating.

Minions are at the moment no.1 at the top of Road to Tokyo with 97,483 points.
Would there be any possibility that they couldn't qualify with these points? They can't go any lower than this no matter how bad they do first half of next year. I mean, if they don't feel too fit, they could go easier with their schedule rather than trying to force themselves to play in all tournaments available?

An article from BWF News regarding the prize money.
It's obvious that single players earn twice as much as each double players do. Of course it depends on which level of tournaments they are winning. Even with 8 titles this year only landed one minion ar the 6th rank.
Zheng/Huang earned more than minions because they won all the Super 1000 and WTF.

    https://bwfbadminton.com/news-single/2019/12/18/momota-sets-prize-money-record/

I suppose they see doubles as one category so one amount for each champion in all categories.
The thing is double players in total pay more expenses than the single players, and earned the least. They have to pay for flight fare, accommodations etc (COST x2 ) two, but they just earn 1/2 PRIZE of what single players who pay only COST x1 but earn full PRIZE.

In the past probably many players do double duties to minimize their cost, but lately many players had to concentrate in one discipline to remain competitive and get the most reward for the efforts.

I don't know much about tennis or other sport, and how much prize money they give for each discipline.

What can they do? Though it wouldn't be that bad if they had given more "fight". Didn't look that good.
Wonder what have they discussed with the coach and what kind of solution they come up with

What’s the consensus (if there is such a thing when it comes to armchair coaches :) )? Are people mainly blaming Gideon?

Actually surprised ZhengHuang earns only a little more than Minions. They so dominate XD and its much easier to go into Final on sunday.

But i dont know, i think outside it Minions earn more than Momota? It depends on the star power. Heck i think Sindhu is the richest.

Okuhara quite consistent not in top 10? Still its crucial to win titles when you reach Final

Talk about armchair coaches, they're actually blaming it more on kevin's attitude towards gideon, and compare it to ahsan/hendra who seems so supportive toward each other.

Meh... it's always going to be Kevin's fault to them. It's Kevin's fault if Marcus sucks or getting targeted. It's kevin's fault if Marcus think that one or two mistakes is the end of the world.

If Kevin is so useless and flawful, why not pair Marcus with another player?
Tbh, I really don't think Marcus would do any better with different partner (more caring or supportive)

Kevin fault especially in G2. Obviously when AhsanHendra lost, they dont show this kind of blaming face.

Why? Marcus did much better in G2 regardless Kevin's attitude. Don't think it would have mattered.
