Good day everyone. Would like to ask about the durability of this racket. I've heard cases that a few of nf700 broke from mishit and not clashes. Is there a durability issue?

I heard Yonex dealers talking about this, apparently its durability is pretty bad. Doesn't seem like a frame defect, but more like a lightweight frame that's bad against clashes or mishits. Not sure how they broke them, but I'd just buy one and wouldn't go crazy high on the tension

A friend of mine broke the racket from a mishit, and his tension was 26lbs. Don't know if i should go for older nanorays instead. But then, don't know if they're any sturdier

Don't bother unless you want a NR900 or Z Speed. The rest are even more fragile.

I'm seriously considering the nr900. Do you have any experience in using it? If yes, is the swing speed comparable to a 4u nf700, or a 3u nf800 at least

Hmm can't say the NF700 because that's lighter. The NF800 is slightly faster. Thinner frame and smaller head as a result. But personally I've never had a issue on speed. It's a fast racket regardless.

Hey guys, I was very tempted to buy a NF700 and did some very extensive research. My main racket is the Apacs Virtuoso Performance. I've strung a NF270 with BG66U at 25lbs for a guy at our club. He didn't like the lack of power he was getting and sold it immediately. I've also had a BS12, that didn't fit me as well.
Glad we have this thread. Looks like I'll be getting another AVP instead of the NF700.

Questions. Dont you guys feel the air resistance when executing full smash? Be it the 170, 270, 370 or 700?

I can't say for the lower ends, but the 700 is exactly what you'd think it is; in between the good ol' YY box frame, and a BS12 sword frame.

    Assuming contact point is right, on a straight swing down ala mock straight smash;
BS12 swing is wooshy. Silent and smooth sound. Like smooth butter.
NF700 has more air resisting it THAN BS12, but still has a swooshy sound.
An AX88 has more of a wheezy sound.

Exactly the sound differences when different sharpness of frame displaces the air it cuts through.

But if you feel that the "resistance" is holding back your smash power, then it is your technique's issue.

The NF700 is a good all rounder, just makes the bird harder to kill.
Your 100% smash may look like 0.5x playback going to the opponent, in an air conditioned court. True story.

Yeah, the sound of the nf700 is definitely sharper. But somehow this is the only frame that I could feel a drag/resistance. I do not have such issue with other frames or even the nf800. Oh well. Guess its not meant to be.

Which may be due to the frame side cutting the air instead of the front of the stringbed. Means you're probably not hitting it down straight...

Your contact point may be somewhere needing a look at...

Today i had chance to have a test drive with my friend NF700. Btw it just stroke exchange not an actual games.

When holding it, already feel the weight as it is. Common thing for HL racket where most of the mass near the handle, but it feel more more balance than HL i think.

Drive flat fast stroke is good & fast manouver. Clear takes some little effort as expected as you had less weight on the head to get the push. For half court smash is good but not quite powerfull for back court full smash.

The think is i still feel the satisfying feeling when smashing with this one compare to my AVP that feel something missing...

But then again when i come to this post i read

Glad im not breaking it as i smash test few times & as its speed frame while im used to heavy slow powerfull frame im also glad i didnt miss hit when testing...
    Whew.....

I play now for over 9 months with one Nanoflare700 10 hours a week at 11.5kg and have no problems at all. Also it has already survived 3-4x a collision.

I love this racket in 4u! A really solid feel for an aero frame and also rather a neutral balance. So play doubles as well as singles with the Nanoflare700. Much better feeling than my old Astrox77.

I have no issues with the NF700 which are 2 x 4UG5 stringed at 27x29 lbs.

Anyone has issues with the durability of the NF700? Look through the forum and got some concerns that its quite fragile, thinking whether is the Astrox77 is a better alternative for a medium flex shaft racket.
