Does anyone know if Ax 100 is gonna be head heavy or even balanced like AX 77?

Right now I’m very used to AX 88D and I just love the feel/punch/power/handling , and I wouldn’t mind if the balance feels the way 88D feels.

Meanwhile I bought an AX 99 too, but that feels so heavy in the head and I only play doubles, and later I regretted that I bought the 99.

Some rackets are meant to be for singles such as Duora 10/ZS but people vastly use them to play doubles too, but rackets like ax99 in my view is not even a good idea to think about to play doubles.

so I was wondering what would be it’s (ax 100 zz) balance point or head heaviness.

So..... Astrox 100 is the combined name/umbrella for the AX100ZZ/100ZX.

The dumbed down Astrox 100ZX is MADE IN TAIWAN.
Based off China RRP, the 100ZX is 55% of the price of the 100ZZ.

Main difference between 100ZZ and 100ZX are the lack of materials in the frame and the T joint (ZZ has the "new" T joint). Seems shaft is the same.

100ZZ: HM GRAPHITE + Namd + TUNGSTEN + BLACK MICRO CORE + NANOMETRIC
100ZX: HM GRAPHITE + NANOMESH NEO + TUNGSTEN

    Here's the matrix to help.

It's basically the third coming of baby jesus aka ZF3. Less HH than AX99.

BTW, AX77 isn't even balanced, AX88S isn't too and is lesser in head weight than AX77 even.
I changed down from AX77 to 88S recently.

Duo10/ZS is fine for doubles, who said they were meant to be for singles?

The marketing for AX99 is skewed to singles so you're right there.

    What do you think then?
Is it more like for singles ? I know there’s not to much stats to set a statement, yet wondering.

and it’s my personal view that duora ZS/10 meant to be for singles as I’ve mostly seen players using it for playing singles. (ie: Lee chong wei, axelsen, chou tie chen)

Just use what you like and if it helps, get multiple of it.

Of the 3 singles players you listed using duora, only one is using the real deal the whole time....

LCW: repainted zforce 1 as duo10lcw
CTC: his duo10 was a zf1, the dzs.. no idea but he's always holding both of them the aero backhand side front.
Axelsen: man of the hour here, using the real mould maybe with a type 0 QC and customization.

Simple answer - sponsored brand ambassador, ker-ching!!! I guess he will keep modelling all sorts of new stuff as long as he is supported and rewarded for it.

Maybe he will continue to use the z-strike in competition or use the 100zz 4U so it will have a similar head/swing weight to the z-strike. If I had the option of being paid to use a racket or not I would take the money and adapt ;)

Edit: I bet you didn't expect soooo many replies :D

Axelsen had a time with the VT80 as well. And if he use the 4U version (which was for JOJ and KM also the case) we will end up in the same headweight. It isn't a signature and btw how many signatures have been released only got used as repaint by the pros? ;)

But I agree with you, I also don't get it because KM is ranked higher for a while. I think that Axelsen gain more attention via social media than KM and this can be marketing-wise the better guy according to Yonex.

Honestly speaking Axelsen is the man for the fans. KM refuse autographs, is bored and shy at the same time for selfies. Axelsen has no problem to give you a small chit-chat during a venue and show his emotions on court very expressive. Don't get me wrong, no blame on Momota, but I think that this can make a difference in sales for promoting something.

He is only talking about what is listed in the catalog.
By the way, it is easy to use any racket, so his words are not credible.
Only ignorant beginners can watch this video in Japan.

Ugly ass racket. But worth a try just for fun (very subjective). Defintiely not for noobs though. I expect to see many bought and on sale until June in the used market here. Doubt it would sell as heavily as the Voltric line though. They don't seem to have as much star power behind them like they did in the past. At least that's the trend I see down here with the players.

I guess he can ask for his own version/modified weight.

KM is at his peak and has no reason to change racket. If he does and he loses, then it will be a disaster.

However, if Axelsen or CTC can achieve more titles, then it "appears to be a good racket".

only except that from gazillion of factors at this level towards winning/loosing, bad umpire/lines calls contribute much more than the racket model :D
