San Francisco. I always go to south sf bintang badminton center. However, there was one confirmed case last month. So I guess I need to wait for months until the virus is gone.

One big concern I have with this racket is that I hear that it may feel a bit numb on contact? Is that relative to other Yonex high-ends? Because Yonex in general tend to feel numb to begin with.

Can you explain more specifically about "numb"?
If you are talking about feeling i think Yonex racket give the best feel?Like it feels direct and give a good feedback
And in 100zz it feels a little bit different from Arc 11 ,DZS and other yonex but not much and i dont think it has this numb feeling, if what you mean by numb is the vibration thing being dampened too much, then its not :)
And if you are talking about shuttle hold, i do think you can feel there is a shuttle hold, a bit less than 99, more than DZS

I know the recommended tension for the 4u is 28lbs. But do you think it’ll hold or be able to sting at 30?

I might have missed the information but did anyone measure the thickness of the shaft? If anyone who owns the racket did measure it and could kindly report the diameter of the shaft that would be interesting.

I've also bought it at a badminton shop at my country. I have just used it around 4 -5 matches and then stay at home because nCovi.
I've been using Z-Force 2, BS 12 very well but actually Astrox 100ZZ is a bit stiff with me. I hope I can control it well next time too.

sorry for my english, I'm not good in this language, let me introduce my self, I'm just recreational player from indonesia, and I'm played intermediate level, I;'m still not good at accuracy and still doing misshit eventually, I love bg65ti with 26 lbs on my 88s 3u and I dont really love thin string like 66u / bg66. I prefer play single than double

little impression for me, first this frames come with bg66f at 27 lbs, 2 days used, not really good for me, feeling dull and to soft, than I cut it my self and going restring with bg66br at 28 lbs, I think 100zz more likely 88s on swing weight n feeling, faster frame than 88d and more powerful than 88s and less powerful than 88d I think. however the spec, this frame not really head heavy for me, and feel much lighter than my zf3 3u, so the movement are very good for neither single or double game. the grip are longer than 88s / 88d that you can view on spoiler above, I'm still adjust my play style with 100zz. Love it paint job, yonex do a good think, and love the cone that I can place my thumbnail very well, allround.

100zz have more vibration on the head between 88s and 88d, but if you use thicker such as bg65ti / bg80 / skyarc and also softer feeling string like bg65 / bg6, for about 28 to 31 lbs, I think this racket will more enjoyable than uses thin string like 66u / aerosonic or nbg98.

    check this out guys.,
    some pict of 100zz 3u5 / 88s 3u5 / 88d 4u5 comparison
    original from me.

Finally got my first 100zz and we are in a lockdown here in Slovenia and it is not possible to test :/

Interesting racket and it is total nightmare every day in insulation.

When comparing to my beloved Voltric LD Force and Arc 11 head this racket has totally different head geometry, handle is longer, shaft much shorter and it also flexes differently.

I do not know how I will be able to wait until quarantine ends ;) 20200409_174733.jpg 20200409_174835.jpg

Did you get 4U or 3U version? Somewhere in Slovenia or EU online? Plese make review and compare it to LD Force and Arcsaber 11 as soon as quarantine ends. I will probalby order 4U version in few days.

I ordered 4U version as 3U was not avaliable at time of order. I ordered from Germany. Since I have all my doubles rackets in 4U I will be able to compare to LD Force.

If I will like it as much as some reviewers do I will most likely order also 3U version and some replacement rackets and sell my old ones as I usually replace them all (I just figured I do not use old rackets once I find new favourite toy).

I do not have best tools here in during lockdown but I used basic plastic meter and would say 100ZZ is about 6mm thick and other shafts over 7mm to 7,5mm thick. It is thiner and also shorter shaft (handle is longer and shaft is shorter).

Thank you for taking the time to measure it. :)

My 2017 Duora 55 LCW are 6.5mm thick but good to know it's not just a wordplay from Yonex to label it "hyper slim". Other rackets such as the AX99 use the "super slim" technology already. They still have room to call the next generation "mega slim". :p

I was a bit dubious seeing how actual numbers were never written in the specs of the 100ZZ and knowing how racket brands sometimes tend to hyperbolize their new technologies. Anyway thanks!

Longer handle? Doesn't that shout that it means to be a doubles racket?

why short handle mean for double?
I play double with 3U head heavy racket & im having a habbit when the games turn fast, i will grip my racket up high & sometimes my finger would touch the cone itself. It help my manouverability with heavy racket on fast pace.

Oops I meant longer handle... Post corrected.
Longer handle for front and back positions, attack vs defence shots, and maneuverability in doubles.

The 100zz has the slimmest shaft.
I have just got the 3uG4 jp version. I will do a review soon.
