You may now edit post #1 to add her name in Hangul, 성지현

BTW, her name in Hanja is 成池鉉. 铉 is the simplified Chinese character.

Sung has the most elegant overhead motion of any player and it's a joy to watch.

Her overhead action is so beautiful and effortless and opponent usually don't know where she is going to hit. Apart from Sung, Ratchanok has the second best looking overhead action, but the Sung's overhead style is the best. I wish I could have that kind of style of hitting, maybe I should analyse her style bit by bit and copy it! lol.

I have been always envious of elegant and effortless overhead hitting style of other players. They look so stylish.

Unfortunately, her action is quite slow, and a lack of stomach muscles means her recovery against punch clears is slow. I think that's why she's been struggling for the last year or so.

Her style of play is unfortunately is lethargic and has no stamina. She gives the impression that she is tired even early in the match.

Any news of Sung Ji Hyun? Today at the Macau Open, she lost in two straight sets by the score of 21-17 and 21-10 to Wang Zhiyi perhaps suggested she's not fully recovered from her supposed injury last week when she retired her match with Zhang Beiwen in R2 of the Denmark Open.

Interesting. Yes, you do have to dig a little deeper to come up with badminton couples in Korea comprised of singles players. The highest-profile I can think of would be Sung's parents, although by the time they married, Kim Yun Ja had more or less converted to doubles. She did win the All England in singles in '86, though.
