Haha wouldn't call you lazy - I'm just glad you listen to it!
I have considered uploading on YouTube as well, but I'm already investing 5-6 hours per episode with research, preparation, interview, editing and promoting, so I'm also trying to avoid having to spend more time for each episode. But there's definitely room for improvement in terms of the podcasts visibility (and production). I still might take up YouTube in the future perhaps - we'll see!

Yes - Jan had a bit of an issue with his sound a few times as he was on a sketchy wifi in Germany at the time of recording. I'm not sure if he shared a story on Srikanth, but I remember he told one about him always having a bad relationship on court with Arvind Bhat, but the they ended up on the same team in PBL and Jan found out Arvind is one of the nicest guys around :D:D

Oops. That was about Arvind Bhat !. See, how good I am in interpreting his words.
I have had some idea about your voice how it would be , even before this podcast because I have heard you in commentary box with Gill many times. But I had no idea about jan, that's why I found difficult in identifying his voice.
    .
Keep it up Hans Kristian Vittinghus.

I've just uploaded a new episode of my podcast "A Year On Tour With Vittinghus" - and in my opinion it's the best and most interesting episode yet!

Fernando Rivas, who is the coach behind the success of Carolina Marin, shares a wealth of knowledge on his coaching philosophy, how he and his team works with Marin and what is needed to create an environment where world class can thrive.

So if you have any interest in what it takes to produce world class in badminton (or any individual sport for that matter) - this is the episode for you!

Fernandos story is quite unique and after listening to this episode you won't have any doubt why he's regarded as one of the best coaches around.
If you're only going to listen to one of my episodes - I believe this should be the one! :D

    I hope you'll enjoy it!

loved it! hearing all the good & bad stuff athletes & coaches have to deal with off the court is always the most interesting to me. off the court issues is what make or break a sport: the politics between the athletes, coaches, nat'l assoc. and rules set by and enforced by the governing body.

historic milestones and legacies are created by people like fernando, carolina and their close knit colleagues. it's incredible what they have done for spain. yet, they were easily hampered and nearly destroyed by bureaucrats who don't care. thank you, bwf.

spain, and other lower budget badminton countries, would have many more successful badminton athletes if not for bwf stifling equal opportunity via its player ownership rule. it's mind boggling how one rule directly poisons the entire sport in so many directions. too many to type...

how can small 'volunteer' armies expect to compete with big budget gov't backed armies consistently?

why does badminton operate for the benefit of the armies and not the soldiers?

any chance of getting a danish bwf executive on your podcast? since they occupy bwf's executive suite i would think it shouldn't be too inconvenient for them to connect with you.

i have a few ?'s for them... heh heh.

I tried reaching out to PE Høyer, but haven't heard back. Thought about trying Thomas Lund as well, but without saying too much, I think it's safe to assume I'm not in high regard in BWF offices, so I'm not too positive on the chances of him accepting an invitation... ;)

Did you guys hear my latest podcast episode with Greg Mairs & Jenny Moore who run the great YouTube channel Badminton Insight?

They talk about their motivation behind creating the channel, how much work that goes into it, their ideas going forward but also how they’re juggling all of this along with studies, work and trying to become the best possible badminton players!

Available on all platforms as always! :)

    next topic: https://360badminton.com/news/bwfs-bringing-badminton-back-grant-programme/

$6,000,000 divided by 187 member associations = ~$32,085 each. wow!

obviously it won't be distributed evenly, so what determines how much a member assn. will get?
are they excluding the power teams that don't need $?

is this the best idea bwf has? smh...

we need a podcast that discusses the current state of & future of professional badminton. input, ideas and ?'s from players (past and current), technical officials, tournament organizers, fans, bwf personnel (fat chance) & member assn. personnel (slim chance) in a group discussion format.

My latest podcast is with World No. 3 Anders Antonsen! :D

Lots of insight into his mindset and attitude. Especially the first 20-25 mins are inspiring and should leave you with a much better understanding of why Anders is performing the way he is.

great pod w/ mathias boe. interesting chap.

i hope more fans of professional sports will understand being selfish isn't a bad thing. it's absolutely necessary for success. it was refreshing to hear mathias say so out loud. their only concern is playing their best no matter what, behavior be damned. so if fans don't like how athletes behave on court rest assured the athlete doesn't really care what we fans think, and why should they? their livelihood is at stake. fans have absolutely nothing at stake.

I am not sure you can answer that question and I would understand if that's the case, but I will try.

On the forum, CM is constantly receiving quite a significant amount of criticizm for her screaming and her attitude (service delay, returning the shuttle to the wrong side of the court).

What is the word among professional players and coaches, the bwf, or the crowd at tournaments, regarding this? Is it even an issue or is it something only bothering a few users of this forum?

As a professional player what is your stance regarding this "issue"?

    Thank you.

Thanks! Great to hear you enjoyed it - I also really enjoyed chatting with him. I couldn't agree more with what you said about selfishness and how well Boe put it on the podcast. I think he did a brilliant job being 100% honest about everything I asked him, which is exactly why this became a great insightful episode (at least in my modest opinion).

Thanks for listening - and the feedback!

As you can read above, I just released a new podcast episode with Danish doubles legend Mathias Boe.

Had a great chat with him about his retirement, greatest achievements and what to expect from him in his new role as coach for the Indian doubles. A few good stories told by him too, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it if you give it a chance :D

Just released a new podcast episode with Ng Ka Long Angus as my guest!

Rare chance for a longer English spoken interview/talk with one of the great Asian players, so I hope you guys will enjoy it.

    We talk about:
    • Why he chose singles over doubles after winning World Junior gold in MD - and how it wasn't always a popular choice
    • We look back at his win at Hong Kong Open 2016
    • What he aims for in the future and how to improve to get there
    • The set-up and the pro's and con's of the Hong Kong national team set-up.
There's also room for a bit of fun chat about our shared love for Indomie :D and lot more.
