If lakshya is not able to win these types of matches, it's saddening. With a depleted draw he should have taken advantage. So many errors which we didn't see from him in junior level. Many things to learn now that he's in big league tournaments.

Credit to LZJ, he played well and didn't lose his head during the few rough patches. Momota not as focused today though with a sloppy defense by his standards.

Agreed there were glimpses of Momota's usual controlled intensity at around the 16 points mark...but he seems to have withered out , in part from LZJ excellent defense. If LZJ can maintain the same patience throughout, he might redeem himself for this year's early poor form

First time I've seen Momota so out of form since his comeback from his ban. Still, he clawed his way back to 19 points in the 2nd game, strong mental game and fighting spirit.

Momota is not in the greatest form, but LZJ played very well today, solid good control and very very good pace/power

The styles of play for both Japanese and English pair are so similar!!....if only Chris would stop touching his hair, they might just win

What an upset, great match from LZJ. Great control around the net, don't think I've ever seen that many short lifts from Momota. Outstanding performance.
Now, if only Indonesians would stop spamming the YT comments...

Sen need to improve. This is the time to learn. His compatriots already in the ending stage of their career, he could possibly fill the gap .
The thing is he should learn how to change tactics according to the opponent.

What a pleasant surprise for Malaysian fans. Lee Ji jia defeated world no.1 in straight games.
I wont take too much into that. Considering, Momota coming back to tournaments after long long time.
Let's see how it goes when he meets him again.
One person will be SO HAPPY.
Mr.Victor Axelsen, Today is your party day. Is anybody out there who could stop this giant?

The negative follow-up tests are proof. The way those tests work is that they have a much higher chance of false positives than false negatives, which is great since it's the much better outcome to behave too cautiously rather than too incautious. I'd try and go into the very basics of statistics but your track record on here has proven beyond any shred of a doubt that any such explanations would go way over your head.

I absolutely concur with the comment on Hendra's statement - how unbelievably irresponsible can you be, a fully grown adult (nicknamed 'daddy' due to your seniority, to boot), to travel around the world during a world-wide pandemic and not be the slightest bit familiar with the local rules regarding this global event? Nobody is expecting you to know the national law as well as a local, but this is just beyond the pale.
I am also absolutely flabbergasted by the incompetence and irresponsible behaviour from this ntl. federation, if comments on here were correct in saying that they claim this is unfair - it's not up to the BWF to decide, and they can't very well go ahead and stop the entire tournament to hold the Indonesians' hands. As others said, you chose to come in last minute. Now you bear the consequences, simple as that. The BWF couldn't possibly book out entire hotel complexes for all the players to quarantine before the event, anyone who claims that is financially inept. I'm still not entirely sure how they swung that in Thailand, and that was 3 events generating profits to offset that cost, not one.
This is even more ludicrous than the people complaining about the Indian MS player who got DQ'd in Thailand because of his roommate's positive test.
