Damn what a lineup Victor have in 2021. Thruster F is the choice of Jordan now and maybe more double player will choose this too?

    so they are finally here:

it has thruster pedigree to it - 91g and 41g head weight, but nothing over dramatic, it is a tad (~ 3mm) head heavier than 90k 3u, but it feels very nimble while dry swinging, since head is so different (shorter, really narrower and very isometric), hopefully will try them on Sunday, but yea shaft is so so slim, and frame profile is complicated - it goes from round to very sharp and narrow at the top.

Had to take a year long break from badminton due to injury. What's the scoop with Victor nowadays? Big fan of their rackets and they had the best doubles rackets IMO

Their new Auraspeed and drivex is good, some old series like thruster and jetspeed had some new rackets that are good too.

This is an update to my review of the Auraspeed 70k original color (teal orange) from the 2020 Victor Products thread.

I was just fortunate enough to buy two used MX JJS 4U and 3U, a racket that I've sought out for so long. And I'm making this thread in case there are some MX JJS fans out there who have struggled to find a replacement. So this is more of a half-review and some replacement advice for the MX JJS users.

These are the specs for the rackets that I've owned and tested. I have more than the 5 below, but these are the only relevant ones in this follow-up. All rackets have the same strings, BG 80 @ 27lbs

    MX JJS 4U - 97g 298mm wet
    MX JJS 3U - 97g 304mm wet
    Auraspeed 70K 3U original color - 94g 290mm wet (a light 3U of ~85g dry, essentially 4U)
    MX 90 3U - 97g 297mm wet
    MX 60 3U - 93g 298mm wet (a light 3U of ~85g dry, essentially 4U)

From my read around BC, most members who mained MX JJS have been using the 3U, but I'm quite sure for the 99% of players, the 4U MX JJS would be more suitable for them in doubles. At least that's what I've experienced from playing both the 3U and 4U versions. The 4U JJS was one of the best rackets I've used. The Auraspeed 70k is my main racket, an all-rounder with one of the most crisp feedbacks in the current market (from the rackets I've tried), 3rd only to the Bravesword and Meteor rackets. From my experience, the MX JJS, MX 60, and Auraspeed 70k OC are all interchangeable, they have similar enough swing weight that I can switch them up during a session. I'm usually very sensitive to swing weight changes, and have a hard time changing rackets up during a session. However, the 3 were basically identically in swing.

Only difference would be the following:

MX JJS - Slightly stiffer string bed and a more metallic feel than the 70k. Thus feels like a slightly stiffer racket, but not much. Similar swing, but feels less aerodynamic in the head compared to 70k.
MX 60 - Slightly stiffer string bed and more metallic feel than the 70k. But with a slightly more vibration dampening than the JJS, and VERY slightly less stiffer shaft than the 70K. Similar swing, but feels less aerodynamic in the head compared to 70k.

If you've owned a MX JJS 4U, or a MX 60 for that matter, I highly recommend you try the Auraspeed 70K blue and orange colors as its replacement. Unfortunately, that raw metallic feel isn't there, but this is as close to that feel as you'll get in the current market. No rackets these days have that same hard feel, but the 70k is as close as it gets in 2021.

As for the MX JJS 3U, it was a lot heavier in the head and a different swing altogether than the 70k. The racket closest to it in recent memory is the MX 90 3U that I've owned, except this had a much stiffer string bed, and a harder feel to it. The shaft feels stiffer than the MX90 too but that could be because of the harder string bed. All in all, I don't think I can quite point out a replacement recommendation for the the 3U MXJJS from the current racket market, but if you were using the 4U or light 3U version of the MX JJS, I recommend the Auraspeed 70K OC as a replacement.

90F looks super gorgeous, anymore info on release, specs etc?
I am new to victor, frame profile looks like some combination of Turbocharging + 3D Caliber from Li Ning.
