This will make the tournament an exposure and match practice exercise for India. All the top teams have 17-18 players and India has just 10 players with no reserves.

If Chirag is ill, why isn't Satwik playing?
    Are they both sick?
XD is also compromised now. Let's see how the juniors play. Was not very impressive the last time the B team played in TC/UC in 2018 ( loosing to France and Canada).
But this is what happens when there is no deapth in the team and just relying on top players.

Good point, Satwik should have been allowed to play with Ashwini. So, what's the reason of not allowing him ? Cost cutting ? Which is weird if it's true.

They seem ill motivated for team events, I remember they are not available for Sud'19 and BAC'19.

I do remember one incident where Sai or prannoy, I dont remember. He applied for central govt award. But BAI rejected his appeal even though he was the only player on that year performed well in the international tournaments. He asked for the reason for that they cited that this reason that he withdrew from Team events. So, it seems like BAI do not compel top players .

Yes, good points As SC and TC are team competitions Satwik can pair up with some other player and be a strong MD or MD2 or XD

Okay, our Indian management never fails to disappoint us. Again a step motherly treatment to doubles. I wonder, even after having top level coaches in both singles and doubles for so many years, all the shots are taken by Gopi and Co ? Or what ? Do foreign coaches have any role in Singles player playing doubles in top level team tournaments ? It's sickening.

I think Srikanth and Praneeth should have been made to play in the trials, they are not looking to be in form. I'm sure Lakshay Sen would have put a better fight.

LS would also get toasted against this KV, KV is a very good player and improved a lot, unlucky for KS in the end.

But yeah KS didn't do his homework on net, backhand kills, also didn't once played his stock angled half smash, he didn't play his natural game.

This is what happens when management thinks some players are entitled due to rankings. Some times rankings do give a false image and cases of Srikanth and Sai are just two of them.

Can't really say. LS is unpredictable.

Hmm, hearing this since mid 2018 and this line seems to have gotten old ;)

I can count atleast 6 times KS missed easy net/smash kills by hitting out at 20-19 or 20-20 positions.

'19 Ind open, '21 thai 3 times, '21 Swiss agsinst VA, '21 Sud Cup. Idk what he is doing if he is not preparing for this situation after repeated blows.

I think Crasto has a lot of potential. Can make a good WD partnership with Ashwini. Sikki/Ashwini partnership is not at all reliable, Sikki didn't even seem strong at net today
. At least Gutta/Ponappa used to win crucial matches.

We should not spoil her partnering her with Aswini. Aswini is nearing 30?. So, better Tanisha partner with Rutuparna and give them centralising coaching just to improve their standard.
KS and BSP should be dropped. Unfortunate , we could not win even Thailand.
When I saw Sai's name in XD, I though they went there for name sake.

Ashwini might provide guidance (given her experience) and be a more calming presence, like in her partnership with Satwik.
I don't know how well Rituparna plays, but they should definitely split Sikki/Ashwini.
